And we have done a great job in unifying allies and providing support to stop Russia. Doing so hasn't been warmongering by us.

The first 6000 artillery pieces they had were some crazy ****, but as the Ukrainians would say, "much cotton was made" with our assistance.

If we hadn't helped the Ukrainians destroy them, we'd and they would be in exactly the same situation as 2014 all over again, with a third genocide on the way in another 4-6 years, followed by one in Moldova, then probably back to Georgia again.

Instead, they are all getting to experience the equipment of their grandfathers 1st hand, after several decades in storage. In a couple of years when they've all broken down and they are throwing rocks at Ukrainians, I'm sure you'll have some pithy zinger about warmongers then, too.

Russia started this war. Nobody else. It would end the second Russia pulls its troops out. They are the only war monger here (and sadly, it's not just Putin - that whole country and a lot of its people are seriously ****ed up in the head).

An infamous rabid Russian war blogger/propagandist known as "wargonzo" stepped on a Russian butterfly mine and lost two toes.

Wouldn't normally register - good ridance to bad rubbish - but the dudes name is Simon PEGOV. No word yet on whether he plans to change his name to Simon Two-pegs-off.

This is what the PFM-1 mine that he stepped on looks like:

I do enjoy this narrative that if you opposed Russia military invading another country you're a war monger.
    Very Orwellian.

That's exactly what we are seeing. If we hadn't supplied help to Ukraine, their shitty army would still have overrun it easily. Russia got to the outskirts of Kiev in like a week. They'd already be onward to Moldova and other places. Pretty sure Moldova isn't loaded with advanced weaponry either. It's the fact that we have supplied advanced weaponry and logistics to Ukraine that has bogged them down and destroyed their supply of good weapons and soldiers. And the sanctions have crippled their ability to resupply and rebuild. Everything that has happened has validated the approach.

Why does JD Vance hate NATO?

“It’s ridiculous that we’re focused on the border in Ukraine. I gotta be honest with you: I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another.”— JD Vance 2/19/22

Spaceghost is truly the Tulsi Gabbard of the DD. Can we all just stop pretending he is who he tries to tell us he is in order to demand credibility?

except the approach of providing Russia with a green light to invade in the first place. that was suboptimal.

Agreed. Trump f-ed up badly trying to threaten Zelenskyy and Ukraine to do his personal bidding and come up with fake Biden scandals. Withholding weapons was for personal political benefit was definitely a bad idea and cozying up to Russia while demonizing Ukraine was also pretty terrible. An impeachable offense, one might say.

Biden was warning other world leaders for months that Russia was going to invade Ukraine and that the World needed to be ready. The Ukrainians thought Biden was being alarmist until Russia actually invaded.

Biden told Putin the US/NATO would not directly intervene.

And they haven't. That doesn't mean they aren't arming Ukraine and providing aid which Biden said would happen along with other consequences like sanctions.

ambiguity in this instance would have been a virtue, instead, Putin knew he could invade and only have to worry about the Ukrainians. His mistake was in believing they would not put up a fight.

Biden did the same thing in Afghanistan (as Obama did in Iraq, throwing away all that had been won after the surge.)
