And all of these things Biden got passed, which GOP congress people voted against, they are now going back to their constituents talking about how great these things are for them

I'm not an extremist in any way, but DeSantis is skirting the lines of fascism in his combination of homophobia, transphobia, racism and misogyny, along with his efforts to control the public schools and universities and to intimidate the private sector. He tries to control those who he doesn't like, those who speak out against things he doesn't like, and bends over backwards to harm them financially, or keep them from living their life as they choose. He's pretty right wing. Why do you think right wing hate groups and people sporting Nazi flags attend his rallies? Duh He's part of the dangerous escalation of the GOP’s long-running war on voting rights into straight-up authoritarian territory, and has spent $3.9 million in taxpayer dollars to find alleged fraud in less than 0.0002% of the 11 million votes cast in the Sunshine State. DeSantis signed an executive order that eases voting rules for about 1 million voters in Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties, all areas that Hurricane Ian hit hard and that all reliably vote Republican. Meanwhile, Orange county, a Democratic-leaning area which experienced historic flooding from the storm, received no voting exceptions, He banned mainstream-media reporters from attending the annual Republican Sunshine Summit in Florida, but kept it open to MAGA-friendly “news” outlets. He used his line-item veto to zero out $35 million in state funds approved by the legislature for a new Tampa Bay Rays training facility after the baseball team publicly spoke out against gun violence through its Twitter account. He successfully used his veto threat to impose a $27.5 million fine on the Special Olympics in order to prevent it from insisting on a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for its (medically vulnerable) athletes. The list goes on and on and on.
