Who are these guys? I'm hoping with 2 top 5 picks Caserio gets the top pass rusher and the top DT in this draft. Then go offense/Offense and more Offense the rest of the draft.
Says who? Did anyone have Josh Allen as a generational qb? Now he’s arguably the best qb in the league
Our run defense is just pathetic. Our LBs are terrible. It was cool to see Christian Harris out there making some plays, but as a group DL/LB is just not good enough. I would be perfectly fine going with a stud defender over QB this draft. Just too many holes and using up years of a rookie QB deal in filling out the roster is not ideal.
Man, I really thought we would be better with a youth infusion. My optimism got the best of me. We suck
I know I'm kicking a dead horse here, but the run defense is just terrible. The defensive line should be the #1 priority in terms of need to fill, imo...unless you truly believe that a game-changing QB is available. I feel relatively confident that we have the pieces in place to have a more than above average secondary over the long haul...but wow, these teams are running through us like **** through a goose.
When your entire starting front 7 consists of what should be 2nd/3rd stringers...you're gonna have a bad time.
I’m hopeful will all the cap space this off season they will sign some guys like Roquan Smith and Marcus Davenport. Then draft a QB and another DL.
This is what I want! One of my favorite plays in the game was when Burkhead was in there and the defense keyed in on him only for Mills to throw a nice pass to Akins. The defense as well as all Texans fans had to be in shock. Mills had targeted Burkhead every single time prior to that.
Name 1 QB in this draft that has Allen or Mahomes physical gifts? Maybe Levis but I'm not sold on him.
Point being nobody had Josh or Mahomes as generational qbs coming out of college. I knew Mahomes was good but didn’t think he would be this level player.
This is from today's Houston Chronicle and sums things up quite nicely: The Texans (1-4-1), who came in ranked 30th in the league in rushing yards allowed at 824 while yielding 5.1 yards per carry, were torched for 164 yards on the ground and 6 yards per carry in their 38-20 loss to the Raiders (2-4)...Smith, in his first year coaching the Texans, was the defensive coordinator last season when Houston finished 31st in the NFL in run defense.
There is no doubt a talent problem on this team, but even if they were talented they can't make up for coaching deficiencies. Why they can't scheme to stop the run is embarrassing. Every single time their LB's are out of position and have no gap or lane integrity. The less said about the tackling the better.
