Curious what weight you think he is, listed currently on NBA.com at 229 lbs. You think he's 2 fiddy?

He showed some flashes last night tbh, enjoyed his hustle out there and he was making plays. He's done more to impress me so far this season than Christopher has, that's for sure.

Nothing to see here, just a run of the mill defender who can't do anything on offense.

Looks like he dropped some weight, he still needs to drop some more.

You have to be some Draymond level dude to be a 6'8 center in the NBA. Maybe thats his problem he is just too short and has 0 shooting touch.

Honestly if I was his trainer I'd tell him to drop everything and start workig on his 3s and fts. If he can provide some stretch he'd have a long career in the NBA

3-and-D stretch 4 is what I've always hoped for him. Ditto Sengun.

I noticed this as well. he seemed to be more attentive and effective in a few situations with his defense on the Ball

he needs to do more of this. a little jump hook in the lane would be nice addition to his game in limited situations

If a big has a jump hook and a constant outside shot, they could play 10-12 years in the league no problem.

In 10 bench minutes Garuba terrorized Utah's offense on most possessions. Took away their first option several times, challenged them in the post and at the rim incredibly well. Elite defensive mind. Loved seeing him paired with Eason, a really menacing pair.

Shooting touch still needs work obviously. Seems to be slowly losing weight which is good, he needs to drop 5-10 more lbs.

He's young so I'm willing to keep giving him time, but he looks like he'll never develop any meaningful basketball skills other than hustling, rebounding, and getting the occasional defensive stop. He hustles like he is literally trying to put out a fire with his feet haha

Exactly, on one level you respect the hustle but on the other if he could just catch the freaking ball he wouldn't have to jump 4 times to tip it to himself and dive around like a Manatee

Garuba has had more eye popping defensive possessions in 10-20 NBA games than the combination of all the other C's on the roster have had their entire careers. Aside from that he's a good passer, good shot blocker, great rebounder, sets incredible picks for penetration, even sets a lot of moving screens where refs can't see them to help shooters out. The only skill left for him to develop to become a net-impact monster is: shooting when wide open.

I'm still amazed people are willing to talk about his defense as if it's just some hustle, like it's Bruno or Kenneth Faried or something. This guy seems capable of jamming an opponent's entire offensive system at a staggering rate.

My faith in Garuba is slowly being restored.
