I feel it's easier for fans to make concessions if the game was moved later than if it was moved ahead? Airlines even give you an option for a full refund if moved up to a time you can't go.

Who flies in on the day of the game?

    I find that silly.

Bryan Abreu is what we always hoped Josh James would turn into.

Not in NYC. I saw the discussion when they cancelled the ALDS game.

If the Game is played between raindrops, we have several good starters available if the delays cause pitchers to be unavailable, Garcia, Urquidy and even Brown after a short appearance yesterday without even getting into our potential WS Starters. My biggest concern is for player safety on a soaked field.

Rain outs push games back, Game 5 would be Verlander/Sevy instead of Taillon.

game 7 Cole on full rest of it went that far

"Some fans" are on too tight a schedule then if a few hours means they can't make it. The bigger problem is fans wanting to use it as an excuse to to get a refund for the crazy priced tickets after being owned by the Astros the first three games.

MLB would cancel, just like they did the Cleveland game.

They do not usually push them back unless there is no way to play the game. I see a potential DH for Monday if the game is rained out. This will also create conflicts with the NBA and Monday Night Football.

Pretty sure Verlander would go game 4 in that situation. You go with your absolute best.

Think how many World Series the Yankees would have gone to if Selig didn't move the Astros to the American League. They might have even won a couple with the Astros and the other NL Behemoths wearing each other out.

They should have moved the game up and announced it yesterday afternoon.

Considering that you can get Game 4 tickets for $16 right now I wouldn't be too worried about inconveniencing their fans.

There was a scheduled off day available which did not disrupt the rest of the Scheduled Playoff Games. This game does not have any off days scheduled and Game 6 in Houston Tuesday (if needed) is locked down. Play today or a day/night DH tomorrow followed by a late night flight to Houston for another game is required.

Having to work is too tight a schedule? Almost 50% of the adult world works weekends. Plus people have kids who have **** going on. People are busy man.

I think if we’ve learned anything from this series against the Yankees is that the Yankees are a really really good team when the ambient environment is absolutely perfection.

I didn't say there were no reasons/excuses. I said their schedule was too tight.

If the game is played, it will probably take seven hours.

Based on how MLB handled the rain out in ALDS and fact NOBODY wants a DH they reschedule it for Thu 10/27.

Probably doesn't even matter as it probably won't go 7 but I'm sure MLB loves the idea of moving game 7 to NY.

And in future they never make a schedule without travel days between each venue shift again

I agree. If today's game is rained out and plays tomorrow then Verlander at full rest would seem to be the option. Gives McCullers more rest time on that elbow and still allows Verlander to be ready for Game #2 of the World Series.

The interesting part would be if they wanted to play a double header tomorrow. Would you start Verlander for Game #4 in hopes of closing it out quicker or start McCullers to keep Verlander fresh for Game #1 of the World Series in case we win Game #4? I personally would rather have Verlander go Game #4 (first part of the double header) anyway if he was ready to go
