The series before the break pretty much showed them we were better. They got lucky to win the 2 games.
It's one thing to tell fans that their game was cancelled because it was unplayable. It's another thing to tell fans they preemptively moved the game because they thought it would be unplayable. Does any sport ever move games up for weather?
Yes. Usually for Hurricane threats rather than just rain. And it's usually College/Pro rather than just Pro. Many other games have been reported as considering moving hours or even days rather than possible cancellation with no ability to reschedule afterward.

Its easier now as most sports have gone to digital tickets. They can alert fans either via the app or the email they purchased the tickets through.
But having TWO games playing at the same time in the MLB Playoffs hurts the Marketing. You MUST kneel before the Time Slots. But God won't listen to MLB. RAINOUT for any stadium built or extensively modified after 1965 should be a forfeit.
No idea. Not sure if precedence matters. Postponing it will be a far bigger nuisance than moving it up a few hours. They had at least a 5 day lead in time to get that done.
You can alert fans, but lots of fans probably can't make it. When fans buy tickets, they know a delay is a possibility. But fans don't expect a game to be moved earlier. It would be like a flight changing to an hour or two earlier on the the day of the flight to try to beat a storm.
Yankees are 53-52 in their last 105 games. Let's make them go into the off season playing .500 ball for nearly 2/3 of a season.
Its probably easier to do on a Sunday if they had to. Actually flights are doing this more frequently now as well… either moving it up earlier or cancelling them altogether (usually not for weather… more for staffing issues). In some cases, if you’re not getting woken up by your phone in the middle of the night, you may miss the flight change alert and be SOL.
But if they have a connecting flight, earlier is better. But of course many INSIST that weather and safety not be considered until the fight crashes. Koby flight ring a bell?
Unfortunately, there may be some fans not able to get to the game if moved up a few hours. Do they get a refund at that point?
I like the KC plan where they move it to the earlier start and give them a $10 credit for food and merchandise at the park for the inconvenience.
