We need him to be aggressive and score as well. Everyone feels like Jalen has to take all the shots, which is ridiculous. All the great teams have 2 or more guys that can get their own shot. Jalen isn’t gonna be on every night and struggles when he’s not hot from 3, so we need someone to pick up the slack… same way Jalen does when KPJ and others don’t have it going in a particular game
This isn't the complaint. What do you think the actual complaint is? Read them. It isn't about shot attempts.
It's his ball domination and dribbling the ball for 15+ seconds every time he has the ball. He is incapable of being a mere connective passer time to time. He wants to be Luka and Harden. The offense looks like a heliocentric offense where he is our Luka. I don't care if KPJ gets 18+ shot attempts. In fact he should probably have around that many attempts per game. He's a good shooter off the dribble and off the catch.
Didn't call you an idiot. He has value as a 6th man just not as a starter. Bobby has the iq of a fire hydrant
He doesn’t though. He defers to Jalen a lot and just spot up in the corner. They run sets which requires him to handle the ball. Let’s say it does seem heliocentric at times, don’t you think it’s what Silas wants in some situations? He doesn’t dominate the ball as much as y’all make it out to be. Of course he will some possessions, but he’s the PG
Thats my complaint. It’s looking like last season that KPJ is going to be 2nd on the team in shot attempts and his efficiency is still well below league average. Never gonna work. High volume guards with low efficiency are a recipe for disaster. Doesn’t really matter much for this year, we have a bunch of young low efficiency guys, we’re gonna lose a lot. But I would believe because of age and experience KPJ is the guy we should be seeing the efficiency improvement in first and so far it’s still not there. And as far as ball dominance goes, he’s tied for 11th in the NBA in time of possession at 6.9 minutes per game, by far the most on our team.
I have come to the conclusion that a 6th man role is best suited for KPJ. Tate has to be the backup PG as soon as he comes back. Send TyTy to the G-league. Maledon would have been better than Nix.
I think his ideal role happens to overlap with Green's. Scoring guard. He's not going to take Green's job. That's why so many people think he'd be better off the bench. That said, if he keeps improving his decision making, then we might be okay with him starting at the 1. In a way, he could be a good staring 3 for us. But I want Tari Eason to take that role eventually. Tari offers more at that position.
I figured u would b more negative with the amount of btching u have for Harden over the years. Kpj is literally trying to b harden and failing at it spectacularly. Scoring isn't enough and the court vision is nonexistent sometimes. Maybe someday he will have at least superstar offense capability but I don't think u can teach court vision
I can understand that. But then we should not have signed him to an extension. If he's not efficient as a starter, he's not gonna be efficient enough as a bench player. That's just the reality you dont magically get a huge jump in efficiency simply by being a bench player. Either he gets better or we get another draft pick. Or maybe both happens.
That’s not true, if he turns into more of a 3 and d guy he could have acceptable efficiency. It’s too early to totally give up on him
If he turns into 3 and d, he will almost instantly have better efficiency because that role primarily takes away what he is bad at.
