Offense couldn't do anything. Defense got gassed. This loss was on the offense, mainly the passing game being so off. Also too many penalties.
lol Texas. Paying for players using NIL money yet still can't be a top team in the big 12. Absolutely pathetic.
I'm curious if he was concussed or something because everything about his 2nd half looked off. He repeatedly dropped back and then just lobbed the ball out of bounds.
The receivers looked lost out there, too. Some routes looked off, other balls thrown to the other shoulder. It's like 60% Ewers bad, 40% receivers bad.
I would’ve taken anything honestly. I really want to believe in Sark but he is 1-8 on the road and if I’m not mistaken, we’ve had double digit leads in most of them, if not all.
Trying to repeatedly throw the ball downfield in a 25-40 MPH crosswind was maybe not the best idea. When they did easy slants, RB backfield, things like that seemed to work a whole lot better
I wasn't watching with volume, so I don't know the impact of the wind, but the Okie State QB didn't seem to have any problems throwing deep right into people's hands?
Nah, Ewers had to stay in. He's a freshman and pulling him during adversity in his first true road start might've been "Card at Arkansas" all over again. He needs to take his lumps and learn from this, not be pulled for a low-ceiling QB like Card with the risk of destroying Ewers' confidence.
Ewers, with a few exceptions, was throwing deep balls that looked like punts, waaaay too much air under them. The missed TD to Worthy (not totally his fault, Bijan picked the wrong blitzer to block) and the missed pass to Cain are the 2 that really stand out in my mind.
