He's stuck .. Too good to be a 6th man( though he 100% should for this team) but not good enough to be initiating an offense.. He stuck = we stuck!
6th man off the bench imo. Right now, he is too sloppy when creating offense and doesn't seem well enough to be a PG. He can go off at any time offensively but he is just kinda sloppy with it and his PG skills leave a lot to be desired.
We don't have a coach strong enough to do that here. And if he doesn't fit it is best to move him...outside of Ginobli, most scorers off the bench are undersized.... KPJ is a starting level SG in the NBA - who is proving to be an elite 3pt shooter - if he doesn't make it in Houston, and that is a viable concern, he will be traded for someone that does fit. This year, will be 82 games of Green and KPJ being the number 1 and 2 option - we are all gonna have to settle in or be frustrated all year.....because that is what is happening - and that is clearly what the team wants..... I am HOPING it works out, but I said the day we drafted Green that he and KPJ were the same type of player and eventually one will have to go, nothing has changed that in my head to date. RE: 6th man, the Rockets ASKED KPJ to learn the PG position, he sacrificed his game to try to learn it, if they now go back and say..."our bad" how do you think that will go???? I don't see it happening....I guess it could but I think this is a KPJ and Green year. I think he might, and if so, he is right. Ask yourself this question, if KPJ is not bringing it up, then who? Green's handle is not nearly good enough, who else could do it on the team? Nix? Ty Ty? I mean we need someone that can dribble.... DD
KPJ is an awesome talent who may average 20+ PPG this season, and this forum is all, “Meh. Put him on the bench.” It’s mind boggling.
So what? If players could hit shots....he would be averaging a ton more assists too..... Some are reasonable but the people that are actively rooting for him to fail are mind numbing and repetitive.... He is going to be the starting PG all year.....ALL YEAR.....and that is what the Rockets want him to be. Gonna leave this argument - just too mind numbing and redundant.... DD
Yeah I’m not asserting that they should be looking to move him to the bench right now, let him continue to develop for at least this season probably. The answer isn’t currently on the roster imo. Whether that answer comes in the form of the draft or a trade remains to be seen. One name id love to see on our roster is Haliburton, but he may be playing too well to acquire at this point.
When the name of the game is to score more efficiently than your opponent, who needs efficiency? Wait…
I think it matters, I don't think it is ALL that matters.....that is the difference between someone seeing the entire picture honestly and someone pushing a narrative like you. Here is a challenge for all your redundant bench KPJians......find one thing you have said positive about him....just one......and I will retract that people here are stuck in their own narrative hater zone.....
