What do you think KPJ’s ideal role is?

also what player would you like to see me do a video on next?

Scoring PG - what he is now, just need time to gel with all the new players.

a scorer and secondary creator…that would likely have to be off the bench as the 6th man on a team that’s good or has actual aspirations of winning games

I agree. Playing off another creator would allow him to attack defenses after the swing pass and while they are scrambling.

I'd like him to be a facilitator more than a scorer. Starting or off the bench.

Nash, Paul, Kidd, for example. Pass first points guards that don't need points to be effective offensively.

That's what this team needs. And it doesn't even have to be Porter to fill that role.

6th man Jamal Crawford type is literally his perfect role.

Can you guys stop trying to relegate the kid to the bench for no reason. Especially when he has shown massive improvement this year.

scoring is his best attribute, although he has yet to do it at even just league average efficiency…but he seems to play better when he focuses more on that

he has decent court vision and can get a decent amount of assists, but he just ain’t it as a team’s primary decision maker

it’s like the main reason he’s the PG here is because he just so happens to be the best ball handler on the team

Off the mother f’ing ball in an Adelman Princeton. He can absolutely be a starter. Do not let him dribble, dribble, dribble.

Could u do one comparing Jalen Green as a rookie to Green as a 2nd year player when we have a good amount of data on him this year?

yup, pounding the ball is where he starts becoming a negative rather than a positive. I think he can be a starter, but with Green as a centerpiece it either requires KPJ to move to the 3 or finding a playmaking 3 to accompany them.

He's best off the bench, for most teams most of the time. Right now though he should be our starter, given who we currently have.

This archetype of PG is extinct.

I’ve thought about moving him to the 3, but that was before we drafted Tari who I think is our starting SF of the future if his three ball is consistent

6th man on a team that’s 6th seed or worse

I don’t know if you want that firecracker in the locker room on a serious contender.

Jamal Crawford & Lance Stephenson spliced

Tari does seem like a a better fit at the 3 given he progresses like many of us hope he will, but if Bari is able to play the 5 as a starter (which I’m dubious about, but not completely writing off the possibility of), then something like

    PG we draft this year
    Green
    KPJ
    Tari
    Bari
Would certainly be interesting. Not giving up on Sengun as a starter yet either though.

Will never happen in Houston - he is a starting SG in the league, a potential future all star - he isn't gonna ever come off our bench or accept that role - if he and Green don't work one will be traded....KPJ is likely.

The asking for him to be off the bench - is a tired redundant argument that has ZERO chance of happening, I get that is what people think but that isn't what KPJ thinks....nor the org.
