I think its pretty obvious KPJ isnt the answer at the point. It has nothing to do with ability but everything to do with how he plays. Decision making and having the intuition to make winning plays and control the game. He has not shown he can do this. Scoring 20-30 means nothing if you’re not making right decisions or winning plays especially in critical moments like making the right pass, FT, knowing when to attack or shoot or when to defer.

One thing about Rockets post Harden is their soft play. Getting pushed around on both offense and defense. Only a few guys played hard defensively such as Tate and Nwaba. But Rockets play drop coverage every time on high screen and rolls. No pushing through screens, no blitzing, no aggressive drop. Baffling and I think its a combination of lack of personnel and coaching.

Exactly! No one is mentioning the fact that when Bruno went out is when Ja started his run!

The Rockets missed his rebounding and defense in the 2nd half. I like our core, I like our team, we need to just give it time....they are young.

But like I said, we need a TRUE SF that can shoot in the worse way....Gordon has to go!

If only Alp didn't have a few turnstiles as teammates...
He was the best defender last night, with 3 blocks of his own, of one of which he got robbed.

Bruno was getting abused by Ja too lol
Alp has rebounded better than Bruno in the young season and he defended really well last night. Overall we’re a bad team defensively, which says a lot about our coaching staff.

We're an incomplete team right now. Let these guys grow, with needed additions. Right now, our biggest weakness is obviously on the defensive end...in particular, our interior D. Alperen will progress, but we are still going to need someone like Mo Bamba.
For those of you griping about KPjr's D...just stop. In Kevin, Jabari, Tari, and Jalen, we have the core for a suffocating D eventually.
Patience is the key..enough with the kneejerk reactions. Our time frame is out there. Recognize guys are developing, and that we're in games against good playoff teams. What do you expect...We're not going to be able to closem out right now, for the most part. This is why I thought we'd be top 8 -10 in offense, and bottom 5-6 in D. We'll likely still win 32 - 34 games. Just chill and enjoy the ride. In a couple of years, the Rockets will be putting fear into the hearts of every team in the NBA.

That would still have been better than letting him shoot wide open 3s.

Gordon’s defense has regressed pretty seriously. He needs to be a sharp shooter off the bench. Go ahead and get Bari and Tari going. They will suck for a bit, but by a third of the season you will see results. Of course, the tank may still be on. People complaining about a 12 rebound 2 block night from Sengun are just nuts. 6 offensive rebounds folks.

I wish we had a veteran who could move the ball instead of Gordon. At least at times we could witness what correct ball movement is.

Scoot and I both have about the same chance of being picked ahead of Wemby at this point.

Rivers just disclosed that Embid suffered from Plantar Fascitis before the season began. Yeah, nobody would pass on Wemby, but injuries will always be a concern for very tall guys.

Seriously! Wemby solves a lot of problems and is a prospect we’ve never seen before. There’s scoots every draft

One thing to note as well with 3:00 left KPJ had Sengun in the low block against Bane. What did he do? He does typical KPJ things and held the ball once again trying to go one on one at top of the key. When he couldn’t go anywhere he dumped it off to Smith on the wing who jacked up a bad 3. This is the decision making i was referring to. Making the right plays at the right time. He has a knack for not doing this.

Jalen is the one who should’ve gotten Sengun the ball on that play. He was on the right wing with the ball, but he passed to KPJ at the top of the key. That was on Jalen
