Alpi looked great tonight, but I think that is going to be the way it goes - if he plays longer quicker athletic bigs he will struggle against slow plodders like Adams he can pick him apart.

He is getting there....and with Bruno with a sore knee now he is probably starting.

Yeah I'm definitely not worried about that with Sengun

So Adams is a plodder now?

Just to hit you with some facts. He’s a full second faster than Dwayne Dedmon in lane agility times and faster than Ben McClemore in lane agility.
The exact same time as James Ennis and Otto Porter in 3/4 sprint and .17 faster than Gobert. He has a 33 inch vertical and one of the strongest players in the NBA.

Edit* and a faster shuttle time than Oladipo

"Sore knee" was this his excuse of nonexistance? He shouldn't be on the floor after sengun subbed. Period.

I don't get this take. He posted up Okungwu twice scored easily. He posted up Clarke scored easily. Drove around adams scored easily. He can score on anyone. He's soo awkward it works.

He's soo young there will be growing pains. We have to sit through watching KPJ growing pains but everytime Sengun makes a mistake it's like amplified X100. Then he gets benched. Or subbed out.

Yes, he is not a quick reactor to the ball, he stands straight up.....Sengun did great, just be happy.....

    No he isn’t.

Some of you guys have no idea what athleticism is lol. In no world ever would you or anyone you know be able to outperform Adams in any athletic endeavor.

What does quick reactor have to do with plodding?
Alp has very quick hands but isn’t a top end speed guy. Two different types of athleticism

Sengun averaging 19/11 so far through 2 games. Casually shooting 50% from 3. 1 turnover today. The kid has moxie and game feel. He also has great chemistry with Jalen.

This coaching staff has *the decision* backwards.

They would literally delay the development of everybody but kpj. Everybody loves a redemption story and the potential is there, but it's weird how heavily invested the org is into kpj. I wonder what can you do to train/develop court vision

We are willing to sacrifice for KPJ and live with his dribbling, but apparently the same rules don’t apply for Sengun.

I am concerned that we have this backwards. Sengun should be prioritized over KPJ, shouldn’t he? Especially now the we have his dream counterparts in Tari and Jabari?

If Sengun is prioritized, doesn’t it help KPJ more than anyone?

I just think he is the player for a bench role. Jabari should be hitting at this point open shots that he gets not never getting the ball then when he does trying to set his own shot up.

Green is one thing but the other guard not passing to him as well I dunno.

I would go so far to say that benching sengun and starting Bruno just to make the guards happy is a fireable offense

I said the same thing that was happening to Sengun was going to happen to Jabari. He is not getting the ball enough. At some point you have to look at your guards and stop blaming your bigs.

I might be insane. But… perhaps the plan is to make the rockets chaotic with no real guard setting anyone up to suppress wins. Pump up KPJ’s numbers and trade him and other assets after this season while drafting or trading for a guard that can potentially make the team more cohesive.

Trading kpj and the nets assets plus another young player or two has to get you somewhere decent player wise.

Like I said I might be crazy though.

This is what happened with RudyT and Steve, and then we brought JVG in who immediately stopped the And-1 Mixtape backcourt. JVG probably went a little overboard though.

And then finally we brought in Adelman, who was by far the best coach of the three. He got us in a system of movement where everyone touched the ball and offball movement was mandatory to play. A system that would be freaking fantastic for off-ball monsters like KPJ/JG/Jabari, I’d add.

I’d kill to see Sengun, Bruno, Garuba, Jabari, used as Yao/BMiller/CHayes/CWebb/Vlade, etc were used.

I'm just saying if you want team ball, someone needs to tell kpj to stop trying to emulate harden
