I was against it last year but it's time... Too much talent to not have a damn system to maximize efficiency.. Any coach in NBA history that was stuck with a less talented, rebuilding team and fired because of it , should be highly jealous..
I wasn't against it. We can't get basics right such as getting back when someone leaks out under the basket.
He sucks, but hey if you want lottery picks he's your guy. If you want the young talent on the team well coached and developed, going to have to look elsewhere. This team has talent now and a lot of it. At some point you have to look at coaching.
He must have been told by stone to tank for Victor. Nothing else can explain the decisions he's makes each game. The love fest tonight for Mathews and the ridiculously small lineup got us killed.
That fast break after the jump ball was unacceptable. Down the stretch it looks like they were trying to trap Morant but was always out of position. No defensive principles. What are they doing in practice? I thought defense was going to be a focus this year.
Don’t most of y’all want to tank and be the worst team in the league yet again? Be happy with the loss y’all desperately crave and stop all that b*tching
He sounds like a rec league coach talking about his 12 year olds.... not the coach of an NBA team with guys getting paid MILLIONS of dollars. It's honestly embarrassing listening to him talk about "teaching the importance of focusing in the 4th quarter" and "being proud that the Grizzlies celebrated beating us." These guys need a coach that's actually going to put them in positions to WIN basketball games.... not a ****ing rec league coach who doesn't want to keep score.
Develop into consistent winners.. learning how to win is one of the biggest things young players have to learn. Plenty of talented teams lost and losing is infectious. If they don't start winning in the near future all of this can go sideways real quick. Today's sports athletes are very fickle to say the least.. I don't think Silas is the guy to get them there. Sorry.
