I'm just not engaging any more. I've been called a KPJ only fan (bearing in mind I only bought a Sengun jersey last year too) simply because I refused to let people argue for Sengun by arguing against KPJ (weak straw man.) Fact remains, Sengun did not look great out there, he needs to work harder. Bruno outclassed him last night, just looked so much more like an NBA player that anybody who didn't see it is either blind or wilfully ignorant.

Well, so far, Jalen's team is the worst in the NBA.

I don't think being undersized with no vertical is going to be cured by showing Sengun the value of hard work.

Best way for him to stay on the floor is shooting and obv you can't have your backup C cough up 6 TOs in just 23 minutes

    That's not going to happen.

It's nice to know that the KPJ Extension thread has likely been bumped from its perch as most toxic thread on CF.

it’s starting to get into gaslighting territory

soon the narrative will be that Sengun is an athletic big with good defense who’s foul issues are overblown and who’s turnovers can be excused away *insert clip of Sengun turning it over on a lazy bounce pass, and then blame it on EG

I am certainly no fan of KPJ, but I have noticed it too

someone said Sengun’s foul issue was proven to be BS when he was given starter minutes…I point out he averaged 5 fouls/36 as a starter, a rate near the top of the league, and the response is that KPJ fouled out of 3 games while Sengun fouled out of 2 last year (KPJ averaged 10 more mpg on the court than Sengun last year so why bring him up? And Sengun had many games where he racked up 4-5 fouls in around 20 minutes…if he was a 30 mpg starter from day 1 like KPJ, he would’ve fouled out in at least triple the amount of games as KPJ)

    Hypothetical.

Big men are usually more foul prone than guards because there is more banging in the post (no pun intended).

That might be plausible if a lot of his fouls weren't silly reaches and overextending himself on the perimeter. He isn't foul prone because he's a big, he's foul prone because he's sloppy and has little control on the defensive end. But yeah, keep with your nonsense narratives, every straw man you throw out is like admitting you're wrong before you even start.

Kid, you always sound a bit angry. Step back from the keyboard and gather yourself.

    https://www.dailyfantasycafe.com/basketball/making-sense-of-nba-stats-nba-foul-trouble

(...)Foul Trouble Can be Relegated to Big Men

As you saw with the above list, there are zero guards on it. Guards simply don't foul as much as big men, because most fouls occur around the basket, where the big men patrol. While there are a plethora of big men above 4 fouls per 36 minutes, there are very few guards, three officially to be exact. Let's take a look at those below.(...)

and Sengun is at the top of the list, but somehow his foul issues were proven to be BS when he was a starter

the only thing that stopped Sengun from fouling out of several more games was the amount of minutes played…in 1 of his 13 starts, he had 5 fouls in 20 minutes…in 2 other starts he had 5 fouls in under 25 minutes…I won’t even mention all the other games he had 4 or 5 fouls in under 20 minutes coming off the bench

And we’re just supposed to believe he wouldn’t have fouled out of many more games than just 2 if he was averaging 30 minutes a game? That a guy who was fouling anything breathing would just stop after getting his 5th in barely 20 minutes of game time? Is he gonna just stay on the offensive side of the court?

Nope, no anger. You know it's really pathetic that you keep trying to deflect and not answer a single point with "oh you're angry." Again, more admitting you're wrong before you even answer.

No need to argue with this bum anymore, man. He’s only about Sengun, not the rockets. We all know the truth

It's only an argument if the other person makes a single valid point. I'm just pointing out to him that he should probably start doing so instead of every argument for Sengun being "but KPJ" or "Why you angry?" neither of which have anything to do with Sengun in the slightest. I was hoping he'd catch on because it's so much more fun actually talking about basketball and living in reality but yeah you're probably right, either not all there or just a little bit slow tbh.

Absolutely! He’s delusional though, so he’ll never make any valid points. None of this is about KPJ or Silas tbh. It’s about Sengun, our backup center lol

Your weird hate against the second youngest player on our team is quite bizarre. You are not yet as bad as the other three clowns who are already on ignore. It's just odd how someone gets so worked up against a young player on our own team that your entire existence on this BBS becomes about arguing how he much this player sucks.

After one game of the season has been played.

Playing Jabari at the 5 would be a very bad idea.

I am a fan of Sengun off the bench AND a big fan of Sengun

Tonight Sengun showed a ton of value, tortured Memphis' bench, and finished the game. Great response from Sengun
