Enough from both of ya'll. You can drop it or get dropped right out of this forum. Your dumbass bickering isn't going to ruin this thread. You wanna ruin threads do it in D&D where it is expected.
WTF with Javier game #3? I would rather have McCullers in Game #3 so he would be somewhat rested if for any reason we need a game #7. Verlander would go #5 if needed which already means he wouldn't be available until Game #2 of the WS if we make it (assuming full rest). Framber in game #6 (puts him at game #3 WS) and then what... Javier game #7? If this series even goes just 6 games (Which it very well could)... then I guess McCullers would be the Game #1 starter for the WS regardless. Either way, a really good scenario would be to take the Yanks out in 5... set up Framber, Verlander, McCullers (assuming he doesn't put Javier in front again). I'm dumbfounded by this move because you have to think this series first and the possibility of 7 games.
You've got some catching up to do. McCullers sustained a minor elbow injury during the Seattle locker room celebration and they are giving him an extra day. Regardless, he was never coming back on short rest if the series went the distance but Javier could do that.
JV Framber ... Whoever Whoever #2 JV Framber Whoever #3 Javier, LMJ, Garcia, Urquidy is not a bad batch of whoever options.
Actually no I didn't. I've been seeing that McCullers was projected to be the game #3 starter so surprised when I saw Javier. Ugh, another year and another McCullers injury
I'm a little surprised that Luis Garcia isn't the Game 3 choice, given the McCullers news. Dusty is probably thinking back to the Javier no-hitter... but Luis Garcia's stuff in Seattle last Saturday was SICK. Garcia is at the top of his game right now.
Other than the LMJ injury thing, I don't see it as some crazy thing to start Javier over LMJ. Javier was one of the top pitchers in the AL this year. By some metrics like ERA- he was better than Framber. Lance is great. So is Javier. Dusty isn't crazy for picking one over the other.
