Might be a long shot but I think Tari can aspire to become a Andrei Kirilenko. Both skinny long build who plays smart defense. I feel like Taris ball handling and court vision has a lot of potential, he's a very steady ball handler and sees the floor even though he might not have the best passing fundementals.
Personally I would say this is a no brainer. Developing our young players should be our top priority. Tari has a much higher ceiling than Tate simply because he is taller and is a better scorer already. There will be growing pains and we would probably win more games with EG and Tate, but that shouldn’t be our priority right now.
The guy that held his starting spot at LSU is now on the team (for now). How things have turned. Tari will be the one making the team while Days will get cut.
I love Tari and I pressed for us to draft him but I’m starting to like him off the bench. Of course it would be nice to have him in the starting lineup with JG/Scoot/Bari/Al P but what happens when they’re all of the court? Tari thrives off undesigned plays; offensive rebounds. What better to have him on the court with JC? No offense @Williamson
So funny that there are only 4 people out of nearly 450 who thought Tari was a bad pick. When do 99% of clutchfans (much less people) agree on anything? @No Worries @SamFisher @Jontro @a time to chill Who would you have picked instead?
That's really a fair comparison .... but I think Tari is a better ball handler and a more explosive athlete than Prince was. He (Prince) was a really long defender for a wing. Tari can bring the ball up and get into the offense as well as run a fast break ..... You really didn't want Prince doing those things.
