    Wife and I are going to the game - I think she's more excited than me (and I'm pretty excited). Hoping Nix does not play - both because he hurts the team and because my wife will probably start yelling for him to be pulled the moment he takes a shitty shot.

    Dear Rockets Fans, Please stop expecting too much from this young ass Rockets team way too early and also stop expecting things from this soft ass coach. We will have exciting times this season but we will also have times where this team looks like ass. But they are young they have a coach who is still learning to be a coach we are not a playoff team. Stop with the "Rockets are taking over this year" Youtube videos based on 4 preseason games, its embarassing. I hope we win chances are we wont and thats ok as long as we see some type of improvement.

    We are going to be underdogs all season vs most teams.

    I just want to see:
    1) Our offense become more efficient.
    2) Guys getting to their spots better.
    3) Fewer turnovers.

    And no, not all of that in one night. Might take the better part of this season and beyond to fulfill these hopes.
    Slivers of progress will do for now.

    I want a good competitive game and growth by the young guys.

    I also placed a bet on them at over 23.5 wins this season so getting a few W's in this early brutal schedule would be nice.

    I believe this team will over achieve vs. what Vegas odds are and what professionals think, but they will still lose a lot. So far they are 0-0-1 with a push on point spread the first game. Today they are a +7 at home, I think they can cover that today. Not gambling advice, but just looking to use it as a basis for what expectations are and how they perform against them.

    I would really just not like to see Gary out there at all tonight. I know it won’t happen. But if we can mitigate the Gary time that would be *chef’s_kiss*.

    Sorry, Gary. Just too many young pieces that need burn and would do better than you out there.
