NYY trying to capitalize on Bader's hot streak. It would be funny if this move is what cools him down.

Not surprised they moved (Master)Bader to leadoff given how hot he's been in the postseason.

The weather is not cool/cold enough for the roof to be open.

    What is mlb thinking?

im assuming you don't live in houston. It's beautiful outside here lol

I'd prefer the roof closed but can't argue against the fact that it's great weather outside to have it open

I think Framber will cool him down. He specialized in getting soft contact.

I see Yordan is DH tonight and no-hit Diaz in LF. Diaz needs some hits.

I was reading the Yankees reddit, and this is apparently the lineup all the fans have wanted.

Jose has struggled mightily these playoffs but I don't recall a player with such few weaknesses. Don't throw him a strike

Would seeing 3 pitches be considered a win?

Lance was our ace before he went down last year, pitching the best ball of his life. He's become a well rounded pitcher, not reliant on one out pitch, but master of many...that includes his control. We would have won the WS were he not injured. LMJ's also a prime time performer, who is at his best in the Postseason. What about his ERA at home? I mean, everybody's on full rest, and this sets him up for a game 7, if necessary. (I highly doubt it, but still...gotta be ready)

So even you're acknowledging Hensley essentially outperformed Mancini here.

I don't have a "narrative." I'm just telling you what I know, which is that Dusty Baker is the manager of the Astros, and the manager typically has a say in who plays baseball every day for the team he manages. Until you have Dusty or any other Astros front office executive saying on the record "We 100% base these lineups on analytics and numerical data, and here are the X, Y and Z statistics that show why Diaz and Mancini are superior options at DH to Hensley," I'm going to continue to think this way.

And yet you've yet to provide a single statistical argument to base your point off of. Your entire argument is "the Astros know better because numbers," but yet you have zero numbers to make your point. Seems like a pretty weak argument, doesn't it?

And beyond "they've been doing it longer, and the Astros know what they're doing," what would those reasons be?

Cool. This would be the place where you would provide those numbers.

And it wasn't my intention to get into an argument with anyone about this. I was merely stating an observation that Hensley played well at the end of the season and had a really big, important at bat in the Seattle series where he stepped up; given how poorly Mancini and Diaz have done in the playoffs, I'd like to see a few more of those at bats go to him. But you kinda forced my hand with the rude response.

I'm good just dropping this. Ultimately we're just going to agree to disagree. And if the Astros win, who cares who's playing DH anyway?

Final meal before the game. No clue how humans attending a playoff game eat during the game.

Maybe not since Javier has thrown a combined NoNo against the Yanks this year.

That or he is playing coy with them.

Bader leading off. Oh boy. A lifetime no power player has a little power streak and he gets the Enrique Hernandez treatment. Love it.

A win tonight insures the Yankees can’t win the series at home. Crucial game for both sides.

Since neither is likely to pitch on short rest, does it really matter which order Javier or McCullers go?

The Yankees are highly reliant on the home run and Framber is good at keeping contact on the ground. With the 2-3-2 and Cole/Cortes coming up I don't think either of the next two games will favor the Astros, so I'd really like an Astros win tonight.

Random prediction: Mancini gets some big hits tonight. Altuve ends his 0-fer but doesn't do much.

Astros might hit some homers off Cole. Or I’m hoping for it.

Valdez needs to keep his composure tonight. He can pitch a gem. I’ve seen him do it.
