I am willing to sacrifice your sanity for continued Astros dominance.

I still miss and appreciate Correa, but we got lightning in a bottle with Pena. Probably the main reason we didn't give Correa a competitive offer. Management knew what we had. I would still love to have Correa back. Too bad Correa is going to get paid a butt load and Altuve is too small to play first base.

I suspect that means Boegarts or Correa won it, but of those 3 Pena should win it. Statistically Jorge Mateo has the best argument if you were gonna pick somebody other than Pena.

Correa shouldn't be on the list. He didn't suddenly get bad defensively, but you have to base the award on something and the numbers weren't there defensively for Correa this season.

Hopefully Hensley and Myers are added to this group.

Gotta get Tuck to agree to an extension. But once they sign, plus our young staff, the future is looking bright.

Yeah- so I was worried about post season for Pena, especially in light of the fact that he was absolutely and totally incapable of either hitting a slider or laying off one low and away for much (most?) of the season- I was worried he'd get chewed up and spit out by gameplanning and higher quality pitching that comes at you in the playoffs. I was worried we'd miss Carlos being a proven postseason performer- with so many big moments and playing at basically an 850 or 900 post season ops which is more or less all star level. Going to Pena felt like buying the store brand generic instead of the national brand.
Guess I was worried about nothing.
I still love Carlos. I still miss him being here. I still think he's better than Pena right now, all things considered, but that difference is small enough that there is literally no way you can justify paying Him 50X Pena's salary.
Kid did good this year so far.
Finish it up strong with a big knock or two.

Glad to hear your anguish is finally ended as I promised you it would be. I look forward to enjoying the coming years and hope you enjoy them too.

feel free to go lose it and cheer for another team. This board will not accept Peña slander for something as truly asinine and stupid as his celebration…that is a shoutout to his MOM. Jesus Christ. Do you just find reasons to dislike players, you know, outside of their critical play leading to the franchise’s first 4-game postseason sweep and on top of the Yankees no less? Get a freaking life

I mean- I am a season ticket holder so it’s not like I’m not financially and emotionally invested in this team and have been for years.
