Not saying this is sustainable, but this game shows that he's a good feel for the game, understands his role and doesn't try to do too much. Ironically, Sengun has 6 turnovers and 3 assists to Dejounte Murray. For some reasons he has to go between the legs for simple dribble hand-off. So much for the "Bball IQ" and "passing skills" and "winning basketball" that you guys raving about. Sengun is not playing good basketball right now. If he wants to win the starting job back, he needs to play better and smarter basketball, period.
Is this Anti-Sengun Week on CF? he’s been very turnover prone from day 1…his turnover rate last year was higher than any season of Westbrook’s career, and he doesn’t even get that many touches Bruno’s playmaking surprised me
He played very well and continue to start for this team because of physicality, defense mentality and very athletic
Sengun really drove me crazy last night. It’s like it tries to do weird stuff to impress. The ultimate example was when he tried to make a simple bounce pass, but attempted it between his legs, resulting in a TO. For someone who thrives due to their basketball IQ, he really does some dumb stuff. Fernando was far more composed and played better D. He’s just a better fit with the starters right now. Hopefully Sengun can get it together.
By the way, turning Theis into Fernando then locking him up for four years at a bargain price was an incredible move by Stone. Turning one of his biggest blemishes into a huge positive.
Sengun just needs to settle down and make simple basketball plays. The talent is there. I agree he tries too hard to impress sometimes. Bruno did a good job and seems to understand his role. Glad we have both.
His passing is so overrated. He gets the hype bc he connects on flashy passes at times. I do like his post scoring, but that’s it. Talking about Sengun btw
Never trust a man with two first names, especially when he is six foot ten with seven dimes and no turnovers.
Good job for locking him up for 4 years but I won’t give him credit for trading for Bruno and almost letting him go in free agency. I remember Stone said at the post trade press conference last year that he basically doesn’t know Bruno’s game lol. I also remember I was mad at Stone for cutting Armoni Brooks for Bruno. I was so wrong.
I'm still curious about what a starting lineup of KPJ, Green, Smith, Sengun, and Fernando would look like.
It’s like the team found a new toy to play with and have to figure out all the cool features. For a little while all they wanted to do was throw lobs for Bruno. Need to mix and match and pick moments better. It will come as the chemistry increases. Bruno has a high ball IQ which is good for everyone.
Early season stats... Bruno 13th in the NBA in assists Scotty Pippen Jr 3rd in PER CHI shooting guard #1 in PPG 37.0
I blame Silas for all that sengun foolishness. He should’ve pulled him to the side or out the game and reprimanded him for that silliness. The fancy turnovers was very unprofessional and shouldn’t be happening so often like it did last night. That’s was the most disappointing aspect of last nights game
Rockets found perfect c for upcoming seasons luckily sengun's rookie contract ends next season i am sure his agent can find him a bench position at a team who wants him as a project.
