If Pena was doing this for NY, he’d be getting the full Jeter treatment right now. Gotta love how he’s rising to the occasion… its not a given that one hits in the post-season.
Yuli is hitting the ball very hard in the playoffs. Pena and Yuli are currently the 2 hottest hitters on the team. What do y'all do with Yuli this offseason? He obviously had an off year, but when the bright lights go on Yuli shines his brightest and there's immense value in that. Put it this way, if you needed a hit real bad in this series, who would you rather have up, Yuli or Mancini? BTW, Pena is going to be great for a long time and his fielding will improve. Do y'all remember as a rookie Correa botching that grounder against the Royals? I dont think Pena will suffer with that.
What sort of wack-ass-jackass watches that game tonight and comes up with this post, to make some weird point about some weird things? I believe your "real SS" is sitting in a hotel getting ready to do more studio work on Thursday evening for the next Astros game, btw.
If Jeremey Peña is getting in base he can keep on flashing a heart sign, skip around the bases or sing the My Little Pony Song whatever he wants
You're like that gangster on the Sopranos that lost respect for his mob boss because he cried at his own daughter's wedding.
What I love about the heart flash is there is absolutely no way another team could take it as a sign of disrespect or showing them up. So he gets his special celebration thing but doesn't rile up the opponents or give them bulletin board material. Win/win.
I guess it's ok. As long as he's doing well. However if other Astros join in and start completing his heart in the dugout after a homerun I'm going to lose it.
