The turnovers were ridiculous
We had some defensive hiccups
Lot of missed shots
Some braindead plays
This can all be fixed.
I liked our energy
The game was winnable

if you play next to Jalen Green and Jabari Smith you are going to rack up a lot of assists. they are walking bucket generators.

It felt really forced. I don't mind Sengun being a bench option but Fernando at 25 minutes isn't really my ideal rotation. Mathews logging minutes also goes under the questionable rotation file. Tate returning from injury is really going to press the issue.

Lots of missed layups. Lots of turnovers. Strange rotation. Jabari wasn't hot. Green was locked up. Porter was okay.

 

It was always going to be a tall order against the upgraded Hawks. We are more likely to win against medium tier teams along with an occasional win against a big one.

The team should watch the film of the game to learn from their pros and cons and get back to practice.

This team just needs better coaching.

 

The FG% of Porter, Green and Smith weren't great. Doesn't have to be Sengun, but we need someone who can actually set people up.

 

So many many comments in the thread. Lots of Sengun comments obviously.

kind of exactly the reason i thought it made little sense. It became the focal point of “thought”.

meanwhile little conversation around how JG was awful outside the first 6 minutes and Jabari can’t shoot again? These are the two guys everyone says is the future right?

 

Everyone losing their minds like we’re supposed to be good this year. We’re not. Young teams do dumb stuff and lose.

 

We can't with a straight face say this team is even remotely trying to win with the rotations we had today. It's going to be another punted season going for a high draft pick based on what I saw. It was 6:30 left in the 4th of a close game and Jalen/KPJ still weren't on the floor. Like....how??
