At this point in his career (he’s 20) ALP should focus on getting better not whether he starts or not. I’m hoping he’s mature enough to understand this and that the folks in his ear do too. If he gets to run the 2nd unit it could be a good thing for his development. Agree with Clutch on that.

The only thing that matters is Sengun's minutes, not whether he starts.

Absolutely. He needs to grow from this, hopefully Silas is fine after this season and we can have a coach that isn’t close minded

Fernando will probably get 3 fouls in his first 10 minutes, that should fix that quickly :D

I hope you Sengun bench guys are ready for Steve and Cat part 2…

    Dribble, dribble, dribble.

KPJ is not James Harden. The offense will not be creative enough, and our guards will pick up bad habits. They should both be off ball for large chunks of the game, moving in a Princeton+Adelman fashion.

    Pass the god damn basketball.

Seems our offense looks better with KPJ and Green out there.

When will KPJ come off the bench since he’s the worst passer on the team and he’s a PG?

But this ignores both elephants in the room - one @apollo33 mentions above

    1) he doesn't fit with ball dominant guards - the play, has to go thru him for him to be effective. Thats not happening with KPJ or Green.

    2) he's a defensive / rebounding liability because he is physically outmatched more often than not.

    Does it?

Seems like we have a hell of a lot more ball movement with Sengun in there. Seems like that is good for Jabari, and KPJ, and JG?

Maybe dribbling isn’t a good thing for this group?

If dribbling didn’t get it done with the greatest dribbler of all time in JH13, will KPJ and JG put us over the hump doing that? Is it building good habits?

Another Silas big-brain move. If this is going to be the overriding philosophy, just trade him to a team that will maximize his potential and give him his chance to shine. If the players/coaches don't respect him for whatever reason, this ain't the place for him.

JC is such a selfish player should have passed it to Green

Agree with number 2. I was hoping Jabari will be a help, we'll see.

For one, I think kpj and green will slow down and will distribute the ball more eventually as their current pace and usage rate does not seem to me to be effective and sustainable.

One thing that surprises me, I have seen Jabari just retreat on defense when someone drives, a few times. No challenge at all.

I think coach really doesn't like Alpy. I think he's racist.

If the lineup works with Alpi coming off the bench, and the KPJ/Green/Jabari group does well, I can see them keeping it this way. If Bruno is just outclassed as a starter and they start losing, I would hope that they try to shake it up after 10-15 games, even if the fit is not perfect.

In 2007-2008, Rick Adelman started Chuck Hayes as a PF next to Yao rather than Luis Scola, ostensibly due to defensive fit, experience, and not needing the ball to be effective. Scola pretty much outplayed him based on the analytics for most of the first half, where the Rockets floundered to .500. Finally Adelman decides to start Scola and immediately starts the 22-game winning streak. I'm taking some liberties with the history, and am a huge Chuckwagon fan. But Chuck was the Bruno Fernando of that situation. I have faith that Alpi will figure out how to fit in with the rest of the starters eventually, even if it takes longer than expected.
