Man I’m right there with ya. As much as I want the Stros to beat the Yankees, it also bothers me that this series presents the opportunity to lose to them and justify all their hate-speak of the past several years
This is a legacy series. Win against Yankees and we strike them out in the ALCS. They will wear 0-3 when it matters most. We advance and win the World Series, we legitimize this Astros team as a dynasty.[/QUOTE] “So it shall be written……So it shall be done”— Iron Maiden
Dubon has not batted. He is being used as a late inning defensive option. This has ALWAYS been the role he should have played.
They couldn't wait to bring up the cheating. Now, I thought MLB ruled we didn't use the system during the 2017 playoffs. They're saying we cheated the Yankees.
The Astros did OK in 202 without him. I hope he gets better quickly, but I don’t think it’s a big deal from a baseball perspective (no idea on his health). Pettis is aggressive with sends, but I think that’s a general organizational philosophy as well to make the other team make a play.
I wouldn’t be so confident about roughing up Yankee pitching, for all the hype around their offense every year, Yankee pitching always did its job in October against us. Limiting any damage to solo shots will be the deciding factor in this series.
