[ClutchFans] Why Alperen Sengun will come off the bench

You only know how to be a Sengun only fan.

 

They should keep him as the starter and stagger the minutes. If they in fact go this route, in my eyes, bad decision. In business or life for that matter, don't build them up to break them down. Made the right decision with KPJ. Sengun should be no different.

What's the real reasoning behind this?

I agree with this. I want to maximize Green and Sengun's minutes. I want them to play well off each other.

To be fair he would help Green more if he can space the floor better. But Green is a explosive off ball player and Sengun is great at high post passing and reading defenses.

 

The reason is pretty simple; Bruno is a better roll man off the PnR and Sengun is more effective with the 2nd unit where he can have the ball in his hands more. My guess is once he improves his range to be consistent, they will move him back. Regardless, he should still get to play with Green if he gets 25+ minutes. That said, I'm not the coach.

That hasn't been the case this preseason. KPJ and Green seem to play better with more athletic bigs.

I agree with you there. Even still, the two man game between them with Alp as the facilitator would benefit Green immensely.

That’s what some of these idiots don’t get. You can have a multiple look offense. Let the guys run, half court sets need to be more than 4 guys watching 1 waiting on a drive and kick.

As long as Sengun gets 28+ minutes and at least a solid 15+ with Green consistently I think I'll be content with that.

Him being regulated to the bench doesn't hopefully mean he plays bench minutes. He should be getting 28+

 

I get why you want to pretend those games didn't happen, but they did.

Sengun is a player that needs the game run through him every time down the court and that makes him a poor fit next to two young combo guards. I think Sengun can develop into a player that can also play off ball, but for now he's a bad fit with the starters a lot of the time
