I think there's going to be a lot of talk about tanking this year.

It will just be pointless because this group of guys are going to play hard every game and live with the result. We don't have a bunch of vets to sit late in the year.

 

I feel like this offseason has been about a billion years long give or take. I'm SO ****ING READY for this season. I've not been this excited to be a Rockets fan since Harden and CP3. I love Jalen, he's a megastar in the making - kid's got it all, the skill, the personality, the swagger, he's like a teen heartthrob who (and I don't give a **** if you don't like it) moves like a couple of very famous 2 guards nobody wants you to mention. I love Jabari - the ****ing attitude on this kid! If I could design exactly the mentality I'd want in my ideal athlete/competitor, it's Jabari Smith Jr, plus, that shot though. I love KPJ - Man to see this kid's underdog story? To see that smile on his face and the bond with the coach? And he has a chance at a pretty decent contract if he keeps his end and works his ass off? You know they make movies about **** like this, right? Rooting for him all the way. I love Alpi - that swagger man, flexing on vets as a Rookie, the passing, the quirks, the personality. Can't wait to see him suit up in Rockets Red again. I love Tari - does anybody really believe he's not going to be a front runner for ROTY from pretty much the first game? I don't even know where the **** he comes from half the time, he's always just ****ing there doing **** and it works and it's great. Steal of the draft. I'm so hyped the season is finally here! Go Rockets!

I think we can all unite in the fact that Harden is trash now.

 

IMO we they have to start to build a winning culture at some point. I’m too old to keep tanking year after year hoping to land a golden ticket.

I understand the sentiment around tanking for a blue chip prospect but I think they have too much raw talent to be a bottom 4. Even if you’re the worst team in the league the lotto odds make tanking a long shot.

I Went over to the casino last night and dropped a $100 on over 24 wins this season so I’m all in on the win as much as possible and let the kids grow hoping we already have our superstar of the future on the roster.

That wasn't a totally serious post, in fact if I read your post in a certain light, I 100% agree with it. They need to play the young guys (Gordon serves no purpose on the court), watch them grow, and *win as much as possible*, which in my mind won't be that much anyway.

 

Seriously though can Jalen Green do anything but dunk?

 

Yeah I agree with all that. I do hope the kids surprise some people. I liked what I saw in preseaon now lets see how it plays out when things are for real tonight.

He is capable of more I think. Most here probably think.
But what he is actually doing is not very much unfortunately.

 

That's the bottom line.

 

I tend to agree, but there is one more thing.
And that is what some think he still may become in the future.

And that will have a bearing on what happens in the present also.

 

I think we need a different song. That one doesn't seem to be working anymore.
