I never thought I'd say this, but... Does anyone know how to watch the yankees locker room celebration? I want to root for their consumption. They deserve to let loose for a night!
Ron Darling is also in the booth, which is 1 too many people in the booth (unless that person is Bagwell with TK and Blum), but I'll take it.
Y'all know...looking back...2017 Astros beat yankees in 7 game. 2019 Astros beat yankees in 6 games. 2022 Astros beat jankees in 5?
Guess the pitching matches up like this GM1 Verlander vs Taillon GM 2 Valdez vs Severino (or Cole on 3 days rest) Off Day GM 3 McCullers vs Cole GM4 Javier or Garcia vs Cortes GM5* Verlander vs Taillon GM6* Valdez vs Severino GM7* McCullers vs Cole (both on 3 days rest)
Every year Astros wait in LCS to beat that ass, but only on some years they can...this is one of those years finally. Astros in 5.
Altuve must have caused emotional trauma to ny fans...even when he isn't around they try to curse his name like he's the bogeyman.
LMJ, Garcia, Urquidy, Valdez and Javier all have very nice numbers against current Yankees. Not that that means anything really, just that none of them stand out as worse than the others (except LMJ and Framber against Stanton). Javier has pretty much dominated them, however. I'll just trust the Nerd Cave to make the right calls on the rotation.
Torres isn't wrong about Naylor. That was the most ridiculous, in-your-face showboating I've ever seen in the postseason. I fully expect him to be reminded of it at some point when they meet next year.
Gonna be a great matchup: Yordan/Judge (MVP) Altuve/Hicks (longest tenured); although Hicks is out, so Falefa or Carpenter or Marwin will be in Tucker/Stanton (next best hitter) Bregman/Torres (enigmatic) Pena/Cabrera (rookie SS) Mancini/Rizzo (popular vets) Gurriel/Donaldson (has-beens) Meyers/Bader (defensive wiz) Maldy/Trevino (batless catchers) I like how that stacks up for Houston. I think it’ll come down to which teams SP perform best.
