You're the guy who cries about likes!! LMAO trust me im secure in my own skin with a great life and I dont need to go brag about it to internet strangers. Your post to like ratio says it all. You have awful takes and really dont know what you're talking about. Mad because you dont get attention poor widdle baby!
I just wanted to see you shift the goalposts from "hasn't proved anything" to "he was drafted high" The truth is you personally like one player more than the other and that's the true basis of your take. In reality, both Green and KPJ are core players for the franchise, neither are going to be asked to come off the bench because that would be absurd. So really it's a pointless discussion.
Look how angry you are. I don't care about about likes. I enjoy making people like you look stupid. Essentially KPJ has a one year 16 million dollar deal. Just put a trash bag on your head and do the world a favor
Suuure you dont care about likes. You're the saddest version of a man and you should have been left on your daddy's shower floor to make the world a better place.
He was certainly going to get more than 10 million at his age and ability, as long as he didn't jump off the deep end before he signed a contract. The real issue was how long his contract would be and what, if any protections there would be. This is a good deal for the Rockets, but it also does give Porter somethings as well. He now has enough money guaranteed to be taken care of for life and it also will reward Porter at 75% of his value if the Rockets pick up the options.
I haven't started the "let's have our best players come off the bench" conversation even once. Usually when others are having it, and embarrassingly enough it has happened dozens of times this summer, I just point out how ridiculous it is.
How many will cry when the June trigger date after THIS season guarantees the next two years for him? How will it be spun?
And more importantly for him, it keeps him in a good position to look good for his next contract. While he might only be getting 18-20 million per year now if he significantly outplays his contract, his next one will be massive.
So there is a disagreement there because I don’t think he’s the best player. I also don’t think it’s “moving the goal posts” when there are different discussions going on. Sometimes it’s about should the Rockets extend KPJ, other times it’s about how much should they pay him, this time it’s about would he accept a bench role. They are all different topics that require different approaches and explanations or justifications. If you don’t stop and actually think about what people are saying, you are going to be on so many ignore lists that you won’t have anyone to have these “pointless” discussions with.
Honestly, I hope for all of those incapable of or uninterested in carrying on a conversation in good faith to add me to their ignore list.... it makes it a better experience for me and improves the overall conversation on the site. When you talk about KPJ coming off the bench, you are talking about benching one of the best players on the team just like if you were talking about benching Jalen Green or Jabari Smith... it's a fairly stupid conversation to have because it's so absurd. If you don't realize that, there's not really a point in having the conversation with you about the player in question because you have such an absurd take on his quality as a player.
