The team last year barely managed to tank, since then they've drastically improved. Jalen Green is no longer a complete scrub, there's no more Christian Wood BS, and you have Jabari Smith.

Expecting the same results is laughable.

That applies far more to the super public teams, lakers, cowboys. Not really to random teams

Seems like a good arrangement. They are taking care of him while protecting themselves. Hopefully he lives up to it, but if he doesn’t they can cut him loose. I still have no idea what to make of him. My gut doesn’t trust him at all, but if he can keep his head straight he’s a cornerstone.

Except that I was right. He's being paid like a 6th man and the Rockets have a ton of outs

They are but it's cool. I was correct but now it's over with. We all root for the same team. I hope he grows up and is the player they think he is.

They don't understand details of a contract but it's cool. I put up a sig anyways. Finally, this is over. Hopefully he grows up and has a huge year.

@DaDakota let's talk hoops since we are starting fresh (you have my word no personal attacks). I think Jalen can be a superstar. The way he improved is amazing. He's unguardable if his jumper is on. Eason strikes me (lofty aspirations) as a Rasheed Wallace type player. I think Smith will be Rashard Lewis on offense and hopefully Ben Wallace on defense. I'm big on Sengun. I like what he does offensively. He's a really smart player. If he has his three falling He's tough ( seems he worked on that) . He'll never be a good defensive player but that's what you have Smith and Eason for. He opens the floor. So, to KPJ. I really hope you guys are right and I'm wrong. I know he's talented and can d up but my only concern is him running the offense. If he could play off the ball it would be optimal. He's a catch and shoot player who can create his shot when necessary. I've compared him to Jamal Crawford a lot. Even if he's prime Lou Williams (Williams didn't play D so offensively of course) he's an asset. I really want the offense to run through Sengun and Green but happy if KPJ can do it

    Thoughts?

Your hate on Green is absurd. You're pathetic. Is it because he can change out girls and your only female interaction is what you name your hands? You're always wrong. Go root for another team, Bobby. You might want to take a shower too. Maybe it will help

You may be right about the best lineups.... but I really don't want to see Jabari at the 5 spot unless it's against a small ball lineup.

No banging with big men .... this takes him away from doing what makes him special and that's defending 1-4 on the perimeter.

Not to mention, too much wear and tear on the body guarding centers down low.

I won't go so far as to say he's a terrible defender but he is limited on that end.

Teams attack the paint with him on the floor, they just aren't afraid of him because he's not a rim protector and isn't very good against the pick and roll which is a big deal in the modern NBA where that's a staple of just about every offense.

Because he lacks that elite length and or explosiveness his only answer to the pick and roll is drop coverage .... and he has to get much better at that. Last year the numbers were very poor.

He's a smart player though. His athleticism is what it is but basketball IQ counts. That's what Eason and Smith are for. I'd love to see KPJ, Green, Eason, Smith and Sengun. Let them learn how to help each other's deficiencies on both sides of the ball. I really like how Sengun can open up the offense

Not surprisingly, you have no idea how Vegas works.
