No I cannot imagine that. One - because I don't want Alpi traded (especially not to the Celtics.. eeww). Two - because there is no way the Celtics take touches away from Tatum or Jaylen (or even Smart to a lesser extent) to dump the ball to Alpi. They use their center the same way we would like too, pick and roll, lobs, and some pops (with Horford). You know why... because they have two elite wing players that are their options 1 & 2 for their offense. This post helped me understand the problem when it comes to some posters and Alpi. It seems that some of you would like for him to be elevated to option 2 (some want option 1 I believe). He is not that type of talent (currently) and thus options 1 &2 for the Rockets right now are Jalen and KPJ. I agree with that but what matters more is that the Rockets organization, coaches, and scouts believe that is the best for the team. And some of you may not like this, but I have a strong suspicion that by the end of the year this won't have changed. In fact I'm more confident in the pecking order changing to 1. Jalen, 2. Jabari, 3. KPJ, 4a. Tate, 4b. Sengun by the end of the season. I could be wrong and in some ways hope that I am because that would mean that Alpi has taken a big leap in his development from where he is now. ***Edit - forgot about EG (in my mind he's already been traded ) but plug him in as option 2b. The point being he is ahead of Sengun as a scoring priority currently.
He has not been as efficient as KPJ on the defensive end, and he is not asked to do as much as KPJ on the offensive end so efficiency does not really matter when comparing the 2. It's amazing that you really don't know much about anything.
There are multiple scouting services and videos comparing Alp to Jokic. Not one credible person compared Paolo to Lebron. No one said Sabonis lite, it was Jokic-lite. Totally ok with Sengun starting or coming off the bench. Either one is A-OK with me. I am skeptical of his ability to ever be a starting center on a winning team, but I was also skeptical that Capela could ever develop enough to be a good starting C on a winning team as well, so what the hell do I know.

This is a great post. 100% on the money. The problem is a lot of these posters are just random dudes from Turkey who don't care about the Rockets. Look at his Celtics post, you could almost hear him creaming his pants at the thought of Sengun going to a contender and riding them to a ship.
