$2-3m per month loss in service revenue is peanuts compared to the bad publicity.

It would've been more than reasonable for him to ask for money or funding to what DD aluded if the bigmouth didn't decide to play Model UN Ambassador on Twitter beforehand.

I doubt the Pentagon would cut off SpaceX but they could def pare it down or do a real contract bid among other satellite providers for expanded services. Something that's standard but likely unacceptable for Elon's ego and his brand vision for promoting Starlink as a "crucial leading edge technology"

It's somewhat reasonable but I think it's not cool to "hook" Ukraine and then ask for funding from the US gov in the middle of a war.

He fked up when the timing of his asks seems to be a threat right after his twitter diplomacy and reaction to negative criticisms.

I might've already mentioned he tried hogging all the glory for giving it away even though his longer goal was more like a drug dealer offering a free taste.

Ukraine apparently retaliating for the massive Russian missile strikes against civilians and civilian infrastructure. This is a reported strike on Belgorod, which I think is about 40 miles over the border.

I know its popular these days to criticize Musk for acting on his own interests and I agree its on the non conventional means of expression.

The Starlink services really is a lead edge technology at the moment. A high quality cost effective solution for SatCom On The Move has been something the industry has been researching for well over a decade now. Before Ukraine, Starlink was not fully approved for SOTM. However the Starlink antenna was designed for that capability, which is why Starlink could download firmware to the antennas and be powered from DC by most vehicles. Pretty much most antenna systems require high power and they are very expensive compared to Starlinks antenna system ($2,500 vs $150k+).

Starlink was very much a game changer and a life saver when Ukraine was on the defensive and needed literal uplink capability while in motion. Now that the war is heading into a stalemate, SOTM is not as crucial. This is all posturing as usual. Starlink needed a RL simulation to test its capability and performed very well. Rest assure there are many countries who are keeping an eye on this service.

Thanks for the info. You've done more research on this than I have, and I will defer.

    Translation:

Russia closes seven areas of the Barents Sea to flights. It is assumed that it may be about possible tests of nuclear weapons in these areas.

From the same thread, copy and paste (I'm not on Telegram):

    News of the Armed Forces
In Norway, on which the energy security of the EU today relies, a second Russian was detained in a week, who "hunted" critical infrastructure

with drones. Both of them were found with a significant amount of photos and videos of the equipment along with the results of the "hunting" in the form of images of airports and oil and gas infrastructure.

The territorial boundaries of the war are increasingly blurred. The closer to winter, the faster the war clock moves.

You are such an ignorant man, or woman. Whatever you are. Keep carrying out the trash and posting it here. If I didn't enjoy your posts in the other forums on the BBS, I would have to assume that you are mentally challenged. You aren't. What you are down here, in my humble opinion, is simply another troll, albeit a much different version than Trader_ J, the current reigning champion. Again, in my opinion.
