This is the thing that worries me. Right now the Stros are the only team favored not trailing or still in the playoffs. On paper the WS should be a lock but in baseball a hot team or just a hot pitcher can change everything. As a Houston fan we should remember nothing is ever a lock.
That part is very true. I will say this, I think we will get to the WS again and I'm going to be bold and say we're gonna win the whole ******* thing again. But it will be tough. We have some WS demons to exercise as we haven't exactly come up roses in the majority of our WS appearances, which is a shame given how talented our teams have been over the years. I'd like that 1-3 WS record to be 2-3 at least by the end of this year. That said, let's win the next series coming up and worry about winning the WS after that.
ALCS all day every day of the week. Rockets won't even be good this year, again. Even if they were it's regular season vs playoffs.
I would rather Guardians close it out today so both teams have several days off. not big on the idea of going 5 and playing either team with a rhythm while we sit. Altuve will have played 3 games in 15 days and it shows.
Cleveland is exactly that hot team over performing in the playoffs I’m worried about. I’ll take them over the Yankees still to play the odds that we have a better chance of beating them but also because I want to the angst of Yankees fans and national media without either the Yankees or Dodgers in now. Of course that doesn’t mean that they’ll start loving us. I suspect most baseball fans and writers will be rooting for us to get beat no matter who we play.
U can watch both if u are tech savvy enough. But realistic u should watch the team going the distance in playoffs. It's won't b every year your team will play in playoffs or consider the favorite to win it.
Feeling better about this squad than last year with a healthy JV, LMJ, improved Framber, Javier and the addition of Brown. Feel better about the bullpen too. The offensive struggles of our 7-1 hitters is really alarming however. Let the chips fall where they may. I wanted Nats and Braves before too.
Which is even more of a reason to take risks. BTW, I'm hoping I'm wrong but I still don't see Dusty winning a ring after 30 years. Hope I'm wrong.
WTF are the tv schedulers thinking? Astros playing an ALCS game on a Monday at 3:07 pm? This is asinine. There is no reason for either the ALCS or NLCS games to be played in the middle of the afternoon on a workday. They can do better than this ****. https://www.mlb.com/postseason
You’re not looking at the schedule correctly if you think the stros are playing Monday. Relax. nothing wrong with the times tbh
This is the 6th consecutive year the Astros have been in the ALCS. You still don't know how they schedule this series? MLB never ever schedules ALCS and NLCS games at the same time so yes, they alternate earlier start times when both series have games on the same day. Same thing we've seen the last 5 years.
You’re not looking at the schedule correctly my friend. Look at Oct. 24. That time is ET. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/astros-...view,lock_state=preview,game_tab=,game=715734
Since there's no day off and they have to travel to Houston that evening, it's an earlier game. Normally they have a travel day but due to the lockout, the season compressed a bit. That said, I don't know why they couldn't have cut one of the extra offdays in this series and ended the ALDS on a Sunday instead of Monday.
Didn’t say they’ve never done it before, only that it’s asinine, especially if it involves a series with the Yankees. The NBA has many more playoff games to deal with than MLB yet they figure out a way to avoid daytime games during the week. MLB can too, especially in the ALCS/NLCS when there are only two sets of games left.
On Tuesday, they both play in the evening, staggered by 2 hours. It's due to the unique travel issue this year that causes the afternoon game.
