Ok, let's break it down. Here's the quote in question:
There are three key indicators that this is not a serious comment. Can you name all three?

All the AL east teams will hopefully be knocked out by tomorrow.

You definitely have to consider it. But it still goes to Yordan, for game 1 alone.

True, but Jeremy was absolutely necessary to ALL 3 wins. It's a tough one, which sounds crazy after all the records Yordan broke! Fun times.

I'm too exhausted to fully appreciate how GREAT yesterday was.

Since all players batted poorly, i question how great Garcia's performance was . Its like when the awesome running back goes down and the back up does just as well so you realize the o-line is the actual reason for the sucess. I think maybe it was just awful hitting conditions yesterday for whatever reason, not good pitching by 20 different pitchers.

The poor approach in extras by both teams certainly played into his dominance.

However his stuff was extremely sharp, and being able to make pitches knowing a single run ends the game for 5 innings deserves huge props.

Garcia is an extremely good pitcher, we're just spoiled with an embarassment of riches.

Me as well. Very thankful the game started at 3pm instead of normal west coast 9pm first pitch.

Or you could actually watch the pitches and judge them accordingly, not by results but by quality.

Same with the hitters and their approach at the plate.

Good pitching will always stop good hitting... and visa versa.

Attributed to many, but Casey Stengel will do.[IMG]

You have to remember the Yankees will swing at throws to first...

Do you know how STUPID you sound? The pitching on both teams is the reason for the terrible batting. Both teams have great pitching. Yes, players were pressing, but the pitching/pressure was making them.
