Crazy that the two NL wild card teams made it past the 2 best teams to make it to the NLCS. It wasn’t even really close either.
10 years of dominance and still 0 World Series titles in legitimate seasons for the Dodgers. Gotta love that.
So The Astros have to beat The Phillies or Padres in the World Series lol? Damn, they better not try and say it don't count again...
First NLCS appearance since 1998 for the Padres. Yeah, please don't remind me of that, FS1. I'm still pissed over that Astros team getting shut down by Kevin Brown.
So...2 hot NL team heading into LCS, which one is the destined one this year? Potentially, (and wishfully), will another NLeast team that'll face the Astros...or will it be the team that beat the Dodgers that'll face the Astros in WS?
I mean if Yankees win Game 4 -- and Cole is normally money in the playoffs -- Their odds will jump a whole lot.
With the Dodgers out of it, our chances to win it all are over the 45% mark. After the Yankees lose, we will be at 50%, with the other 3 remaining teams splitting the remaining 50%. So break even odds Astros vs the field (no Yankees).
And I love that……. a lot. But that was the case last year and that was the case in 2019 and they couldn’t finish, both times vs surprise NL champs against whom the Astros were favored. So hopefully they can take that “advantage” and cash it in this time
Just let them go 7 games in a knock out, drag out series. In other news. The Yankees and Indians are no joke. Astros can win, but cannot be fully reliant on Pena and Yordan in the next one.
So results are in: Getting the bye is NOT a good thing. Astros only successful team and they could have easily lost all 3 games vs winning them.
