So you're manipulating the sample size to get the results you want. Fact is, we've had 4 unique champions in the past 4 years. You've failed to prove that the league is currently "watered down".
Well of course you are, incorrect Claim: state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof assert that one has gained or achieved (something) make a demand for (money) under the terms of an insurance policy call for (someone's notice and thought) cause the loss of (someone's life) Assert: state a fact or belief confidently and forcefully
How did i manipulate anything when i originally said since the 1980's? you manipulated it and said since the 1990's after what i posted about it 8 teams have won multiple titles since the 1980's, with 4 teams getting 1 each
The Lakers and Warriors are repeat champions from previous era(s), there is nothing unique about that other than how the Lakers went from superstar power from Magic/Kareem/Worthy etc. to Shaq/Kobe to Kobe/Gasol/Odom to now Lebron/AD and the Warriors are the nba/media darlings who have been together a long time and have the 3pt era golden boy Curry as the face, nothing unique at all except for the Raptors and Bucks not winning the title since the 70's with Alcindor/Oscar which makes so called 2 unique ones of the past 4 champions in this current new era 2019/2020 to 2022 why do i have to prove the league is watered down, they have already done that and are about to do it more with expansion teams in Vegas/Seattle, so the NBA is doing my ''prove it '' job for me, thanks Silver
You're making a lot of statements, but you aren't tying them to your claim that the league is currently "watered down". Also, regarding "claim" and "opinion", they're synonyms. Not sure why you're arguing that you gave an opinion instead of making a claim.
No you are taking them as that, which is your free will choice now Opinion and Two cents are exactly the same, but i guess you missed that as well what i posted, because i said i was speaking my 2 cents, not asserting / claiming, so either you take it for what i said or you make up your own argumentative thoughts, which is clearly what you have done this entire back n forth dialogue that you are calling a argument, you can't argue facts that the nba has showcased to you since the 1980's, and they are about to expand [water down] the league even more with new teams
same 8 teams in the past 42 years have won multiple titles 4 other teams in the past 42 years have won 1 title like i said the NBA is proving it for you Vegas and Seattle are about to make it 32 teams of watered down cluster, how exciting
So your argument should be that the league used to be watered down, but it currently isn't. An "assertion" is a confident and forceful statement of fact OR belief. Your "2 cents" are "assertions". They are confident, forceful statements of belief.
Right, so i never made a claim / assertion of fact no, my 2 cents are opinions, as i posted the definition of two cents (opinion), go back and read it No the same 8 teams with multiple titles in 40+ years is basically the same 8 team league in the 60's era that you cried / argued about earlier, just expanded by 22 more teams, which 4 out of the 22 has one ring, is that a good percentage? if the Rockets start the season 4 wins and 22 losses, is that good or bad? if the Rockets start the season 8 wins and 42 losses is that good or bad? the Rockets have two ships in and the last one was in 95', so is a 27 year drought good or bad? the Cowboys won 3 super bowls in the 90's and haven't been back since in basically the same span as the Rockets last title, is that good or bad?
An "assertion" doesn't have to be factual....it can be a belief. So your "2 cents" can be considered "assertions". Here's the problem with your logic. Look at the Warriors. Prior to Curry, their last title was in 1975. So since they've won multiple titles, you're using them as a strong team. However, for most of the years between their titles, they were terrible. You're essentially using them both ways, and that's intellectually dishonest.
They can only be what you are making them to be if i said otherwise if i tell you that water is wet but you claim / argue that water is dry desert sand, then don't take my words and twist them to mean that water means dry desert sand Opinion: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing a formal statement of advice by an expert on a professional matter a formal statement of reasons for a judgment given. a lawyer's advice on the merits of a case. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ two cents One's opinion or thoughts.
I've only misinterpreted you once, and I acknowledged my mistake. If you think I've unfairly mischaracterized anything else, why don't you be specific instead of talking about water and deserts? This nonsense about "2 cents" versus "assertion" versus "opinion" is weird since they can be used interchangeably.
No you have misinterpreted 90% of this back n forth, it should have been strictly about Harden with equal or lesser talent or the Draymond role had he been on the Rockets, which were both my opinion / two cents i used the water/desert as a reference point to show you how ridiculous you sound when trying to tell me that I Am saying something else besides this being my opinion / two cents, that you seem to take as a argument, which is pure comedy Opinion: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing a formal statement of advice by an expert on a professional matter a formal statement of reasons for a judgment given. a lawyer's advice on the merits of a case. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ two cents One's opinion or thoughts.
I can't help it that they fall in the since the 1980's era where they are one of the 8 teams who have won multiple titles how about you go and see how many different teams have won the NBA title in the past 75 years, maybe therein lies the said problem but you have to admit or maybe you will argue this, but the Warriors were a fun team in the Run TMC era and i think that 07' Baron D led squad prior to Curry but this newer golden child of the NBA era version has been to 6 Finals in the past 8 years, matching those 90's Bulls in trips
It's hard not to when you have someone saying that Draymond Green (were he on the Rockets) could've played the PJ Tucker role as a corner 3pt shooter. Down the rabbit hole where somehow, one's "opinion" isn't an "assertion"......
And since GSW counts as both a multiple champion and a weak team that contributes to a watered down league, that means your argument is inherently weak. You should adjust your parameters.
