You guys really gotta read this. This **** is hilarious. https://www.lookoutlanding.com/2022/10/14/23405208/texan-mariners-fan-houston-astros-cheating
Wow there is a legitimate chance that neither the Dodgers, Yankees or Braves advance. Wow the Astros would be the overwhelming favorites.
Favorites other than the Astros are not doing well this Post Season. WCS Higher seeds 3 Lower seeds 6 LDS Higher seeds 5 (3 not counting Astros) Lower seeds 5
The blog post was awful, but what does living in Austin have to do with it? I'm a UT grad and love the city; does that somehow change my perception of fan bases and sports in general? That's a bad take.
What a timely article. Writing and complaining about the Astros cheating scandal and fans in general? They admit they didn't get into baseball until 3 years ago and think they can convince people that they know that Astros fans are just so much worse than others? Have they SEEN NY fans? What a sad waste of time.
I'm from the Houston area and came back here after college, but I loved my time in Austin. Personally, I prefer H-Town, but I don't knock Austin or regret a second of my time there. It's a great city with a lot to like. Between your take here and your "woke" post above, I could be wrong, but I get the sense that your politics are bleeding into your sports takes a bit. Might just want to check that and leave those perspectives in other forums.
What a raging tool. Literally zero people will read that and think anything positive about the author of that article; I’m embarrassed for him.
Marshall Bryant is the worst poster on the baseball forum and incessantly needlessly injects his politics into the discussion. He sucks so bad. The worst part is that he posts so much that ignoring him doesn’t work because there are so many other posters replying to his stupidity.
Yeah his moves have mostly been on point. In game 2, questionable moves I thought about at the time: 1. Starting Myers - didn't age well 2. Pena in 2 again - I was okay with it, bc I love Pena in the 2, but thought about this anyway bc playoffs are different - aged well 3. Turning Cal R around for Neris instead of Montero, Stank, Brown, etc. - aged very well 4. Montero in 8th - got away with it In game 1, biggest mistake was not pulling Verlander after the JP Crawford homer and next hit
