    He has a very good point about overly high expectations (95% effectiveness! ppl often forgot that the goal was only 50%), but it was not obvious. Everyone knew covid virus will evolve, but how much escape, no one knew.

    From the study, this shows excess death percentages for counties in Florida and Texas both before and after vaccines were made available.

    The main vulnerable group - really old people - has a lot more Republicans. Naturally, they will have higher excess death rates from Covid. If this "study" doesn't adjust for age, it's worthless. And yes, they should get vaccinated.

    So basically very rapidly declining reduction of transmission even with Delta. Probably close to none with Omicron. All mandates were hence useless and illegal.

    I suppose that’s a judgment call based on how rapid the decline is and how deadly the spread is. No, I don’t agree they are “useless”. And the mandates were established when we had good data on reduction of transmission for the alpha variant. Reasonable to think it could help fight against spread for other variants that might arise.

    In any case, every one of the tweets you post on here that maintains/asserts vaccines have zero effect on transmission is false.

    These types of posts and tweets and etc. that many people share are just flat out disrespectful. Regardless of age or underlying condition(s), these people died earlier than expected due to COVID.
