Agree, alot of entertainment / politrix (same thing) are done with perpetual blackmail attached and they muddy up the waters because you have what is called the melting / honey pot ...... Where its full of skanless types on both sides which makes it difficult to tell who is guilty or a victim, plus the media is controlled and they can create whatever narrative that fits their daily content / agenda A example outside sports was done to that comedian D Chappell when he turned down that big money deal and they told him by the next day the world will think he is on crack n moved to Africa, and within a week the general public believed it And that is how they operate in the basic sense of their perpetual contract / ritual (oath) across the board, many levels to it as well
Watson settled with 23 women, and before yesterday had 1 active lawsuit still in play. The Texans settled with 30 women. There could be potentially a slow drip of 6 more lawsuits from now until Dec. 4th. To me, it seems like another coordinated attack to pressure the league into not playing Watson and/or to get another money grab.
Or, he is reaping what he sowed. Stop assaulting women and he wouldn’t have these issues. Can’t claim it’s Buzbee this time because it’s a different lawyer. At some point you Watson fan boys are going to have to accept your savior is a piece of crap.
To his credit, Watson hasn't sexually assaulted a woman in months, the longest steak of his adult life.
I think Matt Schaub is still the best QB this franchise has had based on raw stats. His fall from grace was one of the most dramatic I've ever seen, but he ran Kubiaks system beautifully. His intermediate game was really good. I used to love those pocket moving - across the grain throws to TEs. Just a very aesthetic offense. Watson is gone under terrible circumstances. Time to let it go.
Not sure he is the best but watching Schaub in 08/09 was pretty interesting to watch. You could almost always tell when a play action pass was going to be a completion the way Schaub sold the fake and looked up firing all in perfect rythym without any hesitation. If he hesitated or changed his read (which happened infrequently) the likelihood of a completion dropped dramatically. Still loved those automatic play action passes over the middle. Foster and the running game had a lot to do with Schaub's success but they played off each other really well.
I couldn't disagree more. Matt Schaub was serviceable up until 2013 but was inconsistent. I remember the offense struggled often to put together a complete game and often times starting slow to try to make a rally at the end, but coming up short despite having good offensive weapons around him. The Texans could've won a super bowl if they signed Peyton Manning when he left the Colts instead of hitching their wagon to mediocre Matt Schaub. When it comes to the best QB statistically in franchise history - the clear answer is Deshaun Watson.
All fair. I think we win a SB in 11 if Fat Albert doesnt shatter Matt's foot. I would have loved to see Peyton run Kubiaks offense. Koobs was just too damn loyal. Its hard for me to view Watson in a good light so my bias probably wont offer the type of discourse that the topic deserves. Schaub was no slouch in his best years with this team.
To me it seems like a slap in the face if the NFL wont-cant do anything based on the prior settlement, to be honest I didn't realize that was part of it.........what are they just going to use the excuse that they CANT do anything based on the previous settlement? Seems like the easy way out, I hope she follows through, I am also surprised Buzbee isn't the lawyer but he got his pound of flesh already. I hope this kind of publicity continues to follow Watson, as he is a true POS
Pretty much. Anything he did, relating to this, that isn't criminally charged, that happened between 2019-2021 is covered in the agreement. I mean Goodell could technically do something, but he probably won't
This could very well be a money grab, or maybe not. But the mere fact, that there have been over 65 women who could accuse this man of sexually assaulting them and no one would bat an eye says quite a bit more about him, than it does the women. How people still defend being with that many different women is wild to me.
Not a defense, but there are differences in the accusations, not all being assault. I think there was one actual rape claim, which I don't know why it didn't get an indictment. Like did the person withdraw her testimony, refuse to testify, was found to be non-credible or whatever? Then the one who is actually not settling...I think there is a lot of empathy there. Deviant, predator, horny dude with fame and money, he's definitely something. But whatever that something is, I also think there is a legit point that many women are potentially doing the grab and completely dishoning the idea of female agency. If Watson only did this to one woman (and by this, I don't mean rape, but the begging for sex without forcing anyone to stay), then he'd probably get Azziz'd - attacked, then defended. The fact that he did it a million times throws him into that predator/perv category. But the female criticism towards the girl who Azziz'd Azziz could consistently apply to many of the accusers here from an individual case basis. I'm well aware though that Azziz took home a date and Watson was getting massaged, so it's different, but the agency criticism still applies.
