Winter Soldier was so good because it did not need all the Superhero stuff to carry it. It could have been a Bourne movie or MI and the Super Hero stuff just made it better, they need to recapture that. I also think they leaned to far into making every fit into a huge final movie like Endgame which if you asked me was not all that great, I enjoyed WS and Ragnarok and BP much more I liked the 1st movie of Endgame much more than the 2nd and IMO would rather have had 1 longer movie even if it was 3 hours. This new Black Adam movie is starting to look like they are getting the tone more in line with the Marvel movies I enjoyed. With the way Marvel has all of this stuff planned out makes me think they are making the same mistakes not focusing on just making good stand-alone movies or completing arcs sooner.
Rumor is Favreau might be doing that series. Since it's like 18 episodes and he knows how to delegate and ball. IMO Favreau is almost TOO GOOD for that particular IP. But I guess there isn't much else important going on at this time (on D+).
The biggest problem in the series is . .. if I asked people the 10 most memorable things about the series. . . . I REALLY don't know if SHE HULK herself makes the cut Wong, Maddisyn, Mr.Immortal, Daredevil, Hulk, Every Episode the guest star outshined her The final episode . . i will forever be remembered as. . . What if "TAKE ME TO YOUR MANAGER" was a TV Episode SHE-KAREN-HULK versus The Incels <-- This is the series Rocket River
I think this is the biggest problem with this show. Looks like in general, from the perspective of a fan of the show, if you disliked the show, you must be a woman hater. Or you hate female empowerment. Or you just want to suppress women. Like another poster said, this show wasn't good or bad. It was just...unnecessary. Moon Knight was also unnecessary. These two were just content for the sake of making content. Loki at least introduces Kang, and Ms. Marvel teams up with the two Captain Marvels in The Marvels.
I don't think their point was to hate men. She's just a mousy pushover who allows stuck up folk use her as a doormat like that cringey bridesmaid episode or her opening up to that support group. Not sure if she hulk comics were like this, but like the alan moore discussion in the other thread, this show is trying to flip that on its head where the escapism from being a hero intersects with real world problems, This show could prob be sold as a gay emo spiderman who doesn't like flexing his powers while trying to survive the city and "his issues" with a cuck personality. Also didn't like daredevil smiling. Felt more obvious they turned him into a prop more than other cameos. Now that I think about it, how abomination turned out is also "proppy" but fine as a sidenote, while Wong's weird cameos were enjoyable if only because marvel hasn't given much backstory or development to strange's sidekick in the movies. I guess introducing characters with deep storylines, then putting them in a sitcom drama-dy vibe is going to look off when it's lazily written.
Yee because if a normal person hates the show they stop watching. They don't continue to watch and complain.
I thought it was overall fine, but they went a bit overboard with the radical feminism. The worst parts were the parts where they were signaling their hatred of men and the best parts were when they just tried to be funny. If you cut the hardcore feminism out, it is a decent show.
Moon knight did feel one off cause he didn’t tag team with any of the other known heroes. There was also that weird Egyptian Godzilla fight at the end where nobody in Egypt noticed ?
so i think women should be enslaved, but i love this show. wat kinda confusion is this? i need to know this
You do realize the feminism and online trolling by toxic men is the big joke right? Like you are the joke and this post right here is what they are joking about. It’s basically trolling the trolls. That being said the show wasn’t my favorite and I’d probably say it’s my least favorite phase 4 product but I appreciate the fact that they literally spent millions on producing an entire tv show in order to troll you guys and also poke fun at their own studio nonsense and studio head. The whole show is a stunt and I kind of appreciate that about it.
I think the funniest thing about this show is that the show itself in the final episode literally told the audience this show sucks and we are just trolling you fandom toxic online people and incels… and then to literally come on here and see people say “I actually like the show but didn’t like the feminism.” How hilarious is it that even being so on the nose where the central character literally pauses the show to tell you the jokes on you and they still dont get it.
I disagree with your characterization of me, but let's set that aside. It's fine that they attempted that, but they need to be actually funny when they do it. Instead, the show just came off as insufferably preachy. There are perfectly fine feminist shows. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is perhaps my favorite show of all time, and the entire premise was to replace the scared girl being chased by the monsters with a #GirlBoss. It also pushed representation with gay and lesbian characters. What it didn't do was sacrifice making a good show to push an agenda. The story was put first, the message was included in service of the story.
You certainly aren’t one of those incel psychos but you did step right into the exact response they were trolling for… but only one episode too late. Which is a big reason why the show mostly didn’t work even if the troll job worked better than it was intending. But of course it wasn’t as funny as it was trying to be. If you are a comedy, you should be funny. That’s like a fantasy show not having a dragon or a sword fight. The fact that you are still trying to prove that they leaned in too hard on pushing a feminist or “woke” tropes is really baffling. I don’t know how many times you can be told EVEN BY THE SHOW that they were doing that on purpose to screw with toxic white dudes who would watch the show. They were messing with you dude. Not sure how the incel committee scene didn’t make that obvious.
Why would Disney make an entire show to mock eukaryotes when we don't even know if they watch television?
