Sengun simply not good enough

So if every NBA player got tested athletically in every category, where do you think Sengun would rank? The way you’re talking, he’ll be higher than the 50 percentile.

I don’t think you get how averages work. You’re comparing Alp to the elite athletes in the league. The league average vertical is 28” which means there have to be some pretty terrible leapers if a lot are over 36”.

You would be surprised at the average 3/4 sprint, lane agility and other testing numbers. Also, some people test well and others don’t.

When he was younger, he was solid. Wasn’t explosive or anything. When we play the hawks, Sengun will be the worst athlete on the floor when the starters are in

Alp with video evidence is around 34”
For reference, John Collins max vertical was 37.5 at the combine.
Average 3/4 sprint time for NBA centers is around 3.3 seconds. Alp would be about average. Lane agility is around 11.8, he would be above average.

Bottom line is Alp is an above average athlete, but not overly explosive and isn’t going to beat most players with athleticism. It’s skill. Like the majority of great players in the game right now.

 

He does not have a 34 inch vertical! That’s just flat out wrong. He’s bending his knees and bringing his legs up in that video. That’s flat out wrong

 

Is Donte Divincenzo, Grayson Allen or Pat Connaughton elite athletes to you?

 

Look at his head height, you can find several plays where his head is at the bottom of the backboard.
At 6’9 it’s pretty easy to to math to 9’6

 

If you really did test vertical, you would know it’s not tested from feet height
