This is I think the wisest policy. Hormones and surgeries should be treated with caution and shouldn’t be rushed into but when there are kids killing themselves because they feel so alienated about their gender that alternative should be available.
I agree with it as a last resort, when counseling and therapy isn't helping. If a teen is saying things that indicate suicidal thoughts, it might be the only way to help. I can't imagine how hard that decision would be for any parent, but to do nothing, then have to bury a child you could have possibly saved from suicide would be a horrible thing for anyone to ever get over.
Must be the voices in your head. lol I have already stated my position on assault weapon bans many times, as you well know. I agree that everyone should have affordable access to healthcare (which includes affordable access to Insulin). Veterans should be treated well. I am not familiar enough with the other topics, but it seems logical to me that there should be solidarity between states when it comes to disaster relief. I just don't know the details of the execution of that, so can't really comment much. Hope this helps.
I think hormone therapy/surgery should be a last resort in minors. I wonder if there have been any studies done about how many of these suicides have been committed by minors with religious parents who they couldn't talk to about their issues. Therapy needs to be free and widely available.
I did answer your questions (and you knew my position on some of those even before you asked the question). They are all off-topic for this thread; I answered them anyway. Have a nice day.
As I have stated many times, I am on an executive transfer visa and do not have a vote in the US. I don't believe in following a particular party line to the T. People vote according to what matters most to them, they rarely agree with everything that happens to be the majority opinion in the party they vote for. On economic issues, Covid policies, parental rights, etc., I would probably be more aligned with the Republicans, on other issues like the ones you mentioned more with the Democrats. I think I am hardly unique when it comes to that. It's amusing to me to be framed as a far right person by some of the far left folks on this sub-forum. When you look at the different positions I argue for, that's hardly true. If you are interested, in Germany, I would have usually voted for the liberal party, mostly based on the approach to the economy and to personal freedoms. Sometimes for the conservative party, which also has to do with the German voting system, where you have two votes, one is for the candidate in your district, and usually the person from the liberal party cannot win, so you vote for either the conservative or the left guy with that vote). Never for the parties from the left (and obviously not for those from the far right). I'm not a member of a political party, although I was asked to advise some of them on economic questions (funnily enough, in addition to being an advisor as member of an economic council for the conservative party, I am on an advisory board for the Green party on economic questions, and was also asked by the Social Democrats, but declined).
Lol... This is coming from the dude who will be the most adamant and vocal about the current right wing subject matter the Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder waves produce. You spent a decade on this forum b****ing about Muslim migrants (ya very leftist there buddy) to then spamming libsoftictok content and using the term "woke" in every other sentence of yours. You are nothing more than a right wing meme consumer.
I'm trying to understand how you would vote Republican on parental rights. The Republican party sticks their nose in everyone's business, even if what they are doing doesn't affect them or anyone else.
I agree with what DeSantis is doing. I don't think teachers should bring their ideology to the classroom behind the backs of parents. I understand that we disagree on this and that you struggle with accepting that other people can have a different perspective and not be evil.
You have to wait a month or so when they become the subject matter of right wing media. Though now since Kayne said "I'm going defcon 5 on Jewish people", I can see right wing grifters trying to justify that statement so actually ya I can see ATWs next target being the Jews now.
Where I live, it seems to be majority Jewish, and I am very happy with that. Also, just to clarify, I am not the one who made this thread about me. I appreciate your interest.
What you define as ideology we define as basic empathy teaching akin to teaching children the concept of sharing.
Who are "we"? I understand you are from a Muslim family. Do you think your family or the majority of people in the country where your family immigrated from is happy with these concepts being taught in their schools? Once you advocate in your family and in those countries that these concepts should be taught, I can start taking your anger against Governor DeSantis seriously. Because you don't. It's much more convenient to direct your anger against DeSantis than against your own cultural background.
