    I lived in Detroit, metro Detroit and Dearborn included are home to Arabs, the majority catholic and extremely religious. I’d say that the Muslims I encountered were the most liberal which was strange (out of everyone). Dearborn had the best food and was probably the most friendly and welcoming. Troy, Sterling Heights, birmingham…complete dystopia. I would never go back, and even had nightmares about waking up there shortly after I left

    Michigan as a whole and Detroit particularly is very different …rules we think of don’t apply there. Midwest families like that are very particular about thisnstuff
