Rockets claim Darius Days The Rockets waived guard Theo Maledon and forward Moe Harkless and added former LSU forward Darius Days. Days, a 6-7, 245-pound forward, averaged 13.7 points and 7.8 rebounds for LSU in the 2021-22 season when he was a teammate with Rockets rookie Tari Eason. He was waived by the Miami Heat on Sunday. The Rockets picked up his contract on waivers and if they keep him, would move him to their second available two-way spot. The Rockets are expected to waive center Willie Cauley-Stein as soon as Wednesday. Cauley-Stein was signed to a training camp deal this week to gain his rights for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. With that move the Rockets would have to make one more cut before the start of the regular season. Center Derrick Favors, the fourth player acquired in the Oklahoma City deal, did not play Monday in Miami.
