The top of the order is due up next inning. Just get through the top of the 5th without giving up anymore runs.

Maldy and Mancini are dead weight hitting. No pun intended Maldy.

Better than having Altuve up with 2 outs. Get to the top of the order at 6-3 and trust the offense.

I don't remember anyone uttering anything to that effect, not even close.

He was perfectly handled down the stretch, even had that 10 day IL that worked out perfectly for him to be ready to go today. If anything, I'm blaming the extra time off, I think his fastball was too amped.

Why do you people make up this stuff?

He could and should have caught that ball. Throw was great.

Nah Vazquez for Mancini. Worst DH ever. Vazquez at least can get some contact.

I was a little worried with the way he closed the season. His final start was great(although his pitch count limited him to 5 innings). But the prior two starts, he gave up 2 runs early in each game.

And let's not forget he had that calf injury recently.

This is where not having Correa looms large. Dude always showed out in the playoffs

So far it is Mariners 6 and Cubans 3

    * Not to mention that throw by Alvarez

    First Scherzer, now Verlander.

This is why we love (and hate) baseball so much.

so you’re saying that 40 year old Verlander being gassed at the end of the season is something you never thought of?

Let's see that happens to the Dodgers and Yankees to see if this extra time off syndrome is real.
