Your math is off. There's a rest day in between games 1 and 2 for some strange reason. So whoever the game 2 starter is, they wouldn't have full rest coming back to pitch game 5. It's a 4 starter series no matter what, cuz there's no reason to short-rest any starter this early in the playoffs. Game 1 (Oct 11): JV Game 2 (Oct 13): Game 3 (Oct 15): Game 4 (Oct 16): Game 5 (Oct 17): I don't think it's crazy to line-up LMJ at home in gm 2 and Framber in gm 3 but I suspect they wont. It might be something like: ALDS Game 1 (Oct 11): JV Game 2 (Oct 13): Framber Game 3 (Oct 15): Javier Game 4 (Oct 16): JV Game 5 (Oct 17): LMJ ACLS Game 1 (Oct 19): Framber Game 2 (Oct 20): Javier Game 3 (Oct 22): JV Game 4 (Oct 23): Game 5 (Oct 24): Game 6 (Oct 25): Game 7 (Oct 26): I dunno why MLB changes the formatting of the early rounds but it makes no sense that there's two off days in the DS and only 1 in the CS. The World Series goes back to the standard 2-3-2 with off days between site changes.
I hate that it’s a five-game series, but glad I don’t have to see Scott Servais’s face for potentially seven games.
ESPN only had the wild card round. Goes back to FS1 (NL this year) and TBS (AL). Given that the Yankees will probably get the TBS “A” team, I wouldn’t expect much when the Astros get the “B” team…. I presume Ron Darling is on one of those.
Castillo with 98-100 mph with movement might be the best pitcher in this series. Astros will face him game two and game 5 (3 days rest) Munoz has an electric arm out of the pen. Hit 103 in game one. He’s very difficult to hit. mariners walk a lot and have enough pop in the lineup (197 HR vs 214 for Astros) to be playoff difference makers. Logan Gilbert will be their game one starter. Last 7 games he’s has looked sharp 2.13 era in last 41 Innings. Factor in their bats are sharp after those two games in Canada and we will have been sitting for 5 days. How cold will are bats potentially be? They have enough to make things real difficult in a 5 game series. Astros will be the heavy favorites for reasons we all know but any team can lose in a 5 game series and get baseballed by a fluke play or two. Mariners will be a challenge.
When are they going to release game start times? Just wanna know how many of the Astros games are 1pm starts or some s*** like they always do. Irritating as F***.
Game time hasn't been announced that I've seen. It'll either be early afternoon or mid afternoon. Zero chance it's a night game.
Pretty much what I expected. Dodgers - Mets/Padres is going to be the marquee LDS series no matter what. The half hour difference is simply to cater towards east coast viewers vs. west coast viewers with the Dodgers games being the later night game no matter what.
Why wouldn't anyone that's not an idiot put Dodgers home games on anytime other than during Pacific evening?
