You should be nervous about the uncertainty present in a best of five series, but there is nothing particularly threatening about the Mariners. They do have a good staff but the Astros’ is better.

Cause them mfers have the talent to go with their newfound belief now... Hungry teams that have no business being where they're at cause problems...My bad for not knowing it's 5 games tho, didn't mean to hurt any feelings bruh..

The fact that it was high scoring is actually good. Maybe scoring 10 means they will get no hit the next game like what the Astros do.. also, it means their pitching staff sucks and ours is better than the Jays so we should have them score less and score just as much if not more than Toronto. But we’ll see lol

Yeah the only real threat they have to the Astros is Luis Castillo but he can't pitch every game. Astros overall are better on both sides of the ball.

Santana stayed in the game after the hamstring discomfort. Will that start tightening up on the off days?

I mean honestly if we lose to the lowly Mariners some heads gotta roll.

Neither were the royals. Good record, but 723 runs to 641 allowed. Won because luck seemed to bounce their way and a great bullpen. We have away the series and they won the WS.

I think the Astros win this series in 4 games. That said, Scott Servais is a dirty manager and he'd better not intentionally get one of our players hurt.

I saw the score earlier and thought that game was over. Nice job Toronto.

If it’s any consolation, I feel like Yankees forums were all hoping for Toronto since they had a better chance to beat us. They are blaming Toronto for crumbling and choking instead of Seattle for being hot.. crazy how different perspectives can be haha

As much as we all think the Astros are better than Seattle, I bet the odds are no better than 60/40 in our favor. Maybe 65/35 at best. That’s just how baseball works.

So all you folks who are prepared to declare an automatic romp, and the folks who will declare it a massive choke job if the Astros lose to Seattle, you just don’t understand how playoff baseball works, especially in a 5 game series.

im not saying don’t be a fan, or don’t beat your chest and root for the Astros. I’m right there with you. But do it intelligently.

We got Mariners, key is the first game. Don’t want to be down one with Castillo in game 2

Unless my math is off I say JV and LMJ at Minute Maid. Framber game three. If needed JV in game 4 on Sunday as he should be on full rest and if game 5 needed LMJ back home. 2 home games possibly for Junior. He would relish that. I don’t want Junior on the road. Is game 7 start against LA in 2017 wasn’t exactly solid. He was overhyped. Maybe he has settled some. But LMJ loves that home cookin.

if we are up 2-0 then You give Valdez some rope. But if it is 1-1 or bad and it is 0-2 the. Framber with a SHORT leash considering you have Javier, Garcia, and hell I would give Brown a look. Get his feet wet as he may be a force for years to come.

They ain't ****. If we lose it's because we lost, not because they won. (I know what you are saying though. Lol)
