Sorry to say Boban's part of that first group. Way ahead of Nix, actually. His entry into the game so late is a signal that he's probably gone.

Our coaching and operation staff should get their props. GREAT offseason work. We might **** around and make play in

Totally agree with cutting or trading Nix/Mathews.

    Porter, Washington, Maledon
    Green, Gordon, Christopher
    Tate, Martin
    Smith, Eason, Garuba
    Sengun, Fernando, Favors, Boban

Christopher is really your 4th guard. Logjam of veteran contracts to trade at backup 5.

Nix and Matthews just dont fit the energy. I have nothing against them but they dont seem to fit the vibe. Our young guns are so energetic, positive and proactive

I know how it looks now but I would keep Matthew's. He brings something the others do not, he can get in an instance from deep.

LMAO You have Eason behind Smith and Tate starting lol yikes you dont hide future stars. You give them as much m inutes as possible. This is how you get guys who want to leave when the 4 years is up.

Smh. KJ isn't half the complete player Tate is. Tate is a better ball handler, post player & defender. Ppl don't value Tate bc you're too busy watching box score stats

Lol Tate a "complete player"? Tate is a wasted roster spot on offense and undersized on defense.

I like him. If we have open roster spots, I want to keep him. he's a good guy always plays hard. He's cheap. He knows his place. He's pretty much a fringe NBA player, a 10th-12th guy on the bench. But if you have to trim the roster, he should be considered to be cut before some guys who have real potential.

What team have you been watching? He's our best switch defender and can occasionally run the offense with his ball handler. He's also a solid low post scorer

I'm watching the one where he absolutely kills spacing and can run the offense about as well as Eric Gordon... meaning not at all.

His defense is fine usually but he's a bit too slow for more athletic guards and too small for big men.

Since the team has no quality PG depth behind KPJ, maybe Tate would be okay there till the team gets someone better, but his contract shows you the FO doesn't see him as a starter and him accepting such a small deal suggests he knows it to be true.

exactly. they did the same last year to "prove" Scottie is better (but Rockets didnt have the tools to get on Scottie). But this year Green just gave them 17 in a half blew by Barnes as he wasn't there

Tate doesn't kill spacing lol. If his shots not falling he actually cuts to the basket. He's basically a poor man's Draymond without the antics. Every solid teams NEEDS a Tate. I'm not sure why he isn't valued here but he should be
