Would you give up Jabari and Green, plus a few #1's to get Wemby, because that would probably be the minimum asking price.

Is he THAT much of a generational talent? That would be like if 18 year old Lebron was in the draft.

Are you saying our team is better than OKC Kd? 2nd year KD only won 23 games with WB, Jeff Green and Thabo Sefalosha but our team gonna go from 14 to over 30 lol.

Edit: I didnt fully get your point I thought you were saying we gonna be in the playoffs. However you are also wrong we still need to actively tank and help our young guys tank cuz they are gonna be only 6th or 7th worst if they play unhindered.

How do we help our young guys tank when we are already playing them? That is the tank. Playing our young guys? Are you speaking of stuff that will hinder their development process?

Nah. Lebron had a constant stream of hype for multiple years like since he was like 15.

This kid also has a significant chance of not having a long career due to his size.

If you can guarantee his health yeah he is as good as 18 yr old Lebron if not better (Lebron exceeded his expectations as a rookie nobody expected him to have 20 yr career as superstsr and develop 3 pt shooting).

But we live in the real world no way in hell Rox do that lol. Tbh though I'd be willing to trade Sengun, KPJ, all the Nets and Rox picks including 2023 lotto pick for Scoot.

You can do things like play the tank commander at end of games. Jalen and Tari arent gonna be hindered if you sit them down last 5 mins.

I would say for someone like Jalen it would hinder is learning process on how to close out games. We should be molding him as our go to late gene closer as he has the best ability to make tough shots on the team moving forward.

Yes, injuries are a legitimate concern. But from a prospect standpoint, he might be the best prospect of all time. There have already been analysts that have said if Lebron was in this class he would go 2nd.

I'm just saying you aren't going to get him for future draft picks like @DaDakota is saying, you are going to have to offer up something incredible.

The dilemma with Wemby is that the injury threat is still looming. All the recent hype suddenly drowns out the concern. It's one thing to tank for a chance to get him. It's a totally different thing to give up everything to get him.

If you give up all your core pieces plus your future building blocks for him, you are essentially putting all your eggs in one not-so-sturdy basket. What if he gets a career threatening injury right at the start? It might set you back for years and years.

There's no way we do that trade. Jalen green is going to be a superstar himself. plus an allstar in jabari. plus picks? NO we keep the sure thing. plus wembi can always just jump ship like lebron did from cleveland. Green has a tattoo of the rockets on his arm

If Wemby is a better prospect than Lebron, then no team is even entertaining Jalen Green, Jabari, and a bunch of random picks for him anyways.

u are not trading a $100 player for a bunch of dollar notes

he is as untouchable as it gets

Yeah, if you give up all your pieces and can't rebuild around him fast enough, he may jump ship after his rookie contract.

My IDEAL scenario would be to get the first pick and try to trade down to 2. You could get a ton for the move, plus draft scoot. Henderson and Jalen back court would be awesome, and depending who got the 2nd pick you could get future picks and a good player

If you believe in Wemby, you take him. You can never pay that many players. If these guys are as good as we think they are, we'll have the same problem as the Astros in 3 or 4 years.

Plus, Wemby is more a need than Scoot. I'd be happy with either though.

You'd be passing on a better player to end up with a potentially weaker version of what you already have.
