If teams are tanking for Wemby the Rockets should....?

the amount and level of tanking we’re about to see this year is gonna be a disgrace to the sport

 

hopefully enduring all this tanking will come to fruition - but nothing is assured....
someone could turn out to be a bust, someone else could break a leg, someone else could get arrested for domestic assault, someone could demand a trade.... obviously i hope none of that stuff happens... but so far all we've gotten for our couple years of miserable basketball has been the worst record in the league - and some hope and 'potential' for a brighter future...

i'm interested to see who we can acquire on the fa market with our ton of cap room next year - something we haven't really experienced in some time...

 

His attitude is what's gonna propel him to MVP status and actual greatness. You can tell he's hungry and a student of the game.

I think people who don't want to tank this year are complete idiots and should be treated as such.

This is our last year before our pick goes away to OKC next year and our cap space opens up. It's an immensely important year to be a bottom 3 team. I'm not saying we should outright not play any of our high potential players but if any sort of minor injury happens, that guy should sit out 5-10 games every time.

On top of all that, Wembayama is a generational player not seen since Lebron. He is literally a 7'4" KD with a stronger frame than Chet and has a knack on defense like Gobert. If we purposely miss out on this guy we will be kicking ourselves down the line because he'll likely end up on one of our main competitor's teams in the West (OKC, Spurs, Jazz).

Imagine a starting team with Green/Eason/Jabari/Wemby + an all star free agent point guard. With KPJ/JC/Tate/KJ/Sengun off the bench we'd be an instant dynasty level team.

 

Adam Silver should do his rigging and gift Victor to the least shameless terrible team
