Prices started to gradually come down as the 2016 election was coming up, under the Obama/Biden administration gas prices were low when he entered office and when he left... Everything in between was consistently high. But since you insist that my issues with high gas prices is that filling up costs $10-$20 more you are either ignoring the real problem or you just don't get it..... High gas prices means everything else will also go up, building materials, food, electronics, pretty much anything you go out and buy or order online. Everything goes up, because it just so happens that Trucks also run on gas not just my car. I guess you never stopped to question why the hell everything is so expensive lately. Yeah, maybe you are well off to the point it doesn't impact you. I don't like paying more for things I used to pay less for just 3 years ago. It hasn't affected me from achieving my financials goals and wants. But this country is not just those who have steady income. There are tons of people who need to pay less at the pump, less at the groceries stores, less for building materials.... I just showed you the graph, the gas prices did not dip every year. They rose to $3.96 on May 2011 and did not start dropping below $3.00 until Nov 2014.... It was consistently high for the middle 4 years of his term.. Low the 1st 2 years and lowering during his last year... Low in and low when he left... IIRC, OPEC decided during the trumpybear failure to tank prices in order to tank American production. Gas prices went super low because of that as there was a massive surplus. They succeeded as American production slowed. But it wasn't a thing because the COVID shutdown kept people off the roads. Then, things opened back up...except American production. While the right blames President Biden for the lack of American production, the oil companies themselves said they would prefer the massive profits over reasonable pricing so they weren't going to produce any more than they needed to. Am I missing anything other than mentioning that trumpybear had nothing to do with the low prices?
I know everyone likes to think of Biden as incompetent because he says stupid things and can be creepy at times. Legislatively though he is more competent than both Trump and Obama. He’s had more meaningful legislation passed in his first year and a half than Trump did in his whole term and more significant bipartisan legislation than Obama did in two terms. This was even though both Trump and Obama had actual legislative majorities their first two years with Obama having 60 Democrats in the Senate. Biden has only had a technical majority in the Senate. For those who believe that Biden is just a puppet consider that many of his administration was also in Obama’s yet Obama couldn’t get as much done in Congress. Leadership at the top does matter.
